Taken a while to get this posted (quite a lot to distill) http://bfcst.org.uk/meeting-with-patrick-cryne-and-ben-mansford-part-2/
Cheers for that Gally, hopefully it will put a lot of the doubters questions to bed...but somehow I doubt it
He really has come in for some very unfair criticism. I find it very difficult to argue with anything he's written. Sadly I feel there will always be some kind of conspiracy theory, accusations of nepotism. I feel quite sorry for him.
Good read feel sorry for p.c takes alot of unfair critism when he has only tried to do his best for bfc. Right when he refers to Ipswich,Bristol and Sheffield in that money doesn't always buy success in football.
That's alot of effort brought to bear. Thank you. Yet not so long ago your average reds football supporter knew next to nothing about all these aspects of the operation of the club he supported, that are now laid bare before him. As said average fan I remain to be convinced that the openness that bfc in particular displays does little more than display the internal organs of a body that attracts a multitude of quacks to randomly poke their scalpels at. Good old Patrick. His money. His worry. All we do is go and watch a game of football. Perhaps what we see on the pitch should be as much as we need to pass comment on. Nowt else matters. Once that comment has been passed - with claps boos, or on here or in the Chronicle, twitter, praise or grumble etc. we all know the state of things. None of us know what makes a team win.
I don't think there was anything new in it or anything we didn't know but it was good read and good to hear from them. It was clear that the club is very important to PC and when he sells the club will be safe Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
It's on the STrust website, the one linked to above. But for the hard of thinking http://bfcst.org.uk/meeting-with-patrick-cryne-and-ben-mansford/
You really are struggling aren't you. I've posted it above. Even quoted you. Or am I on your ignore list? Thought I'd ask seeing as it's en vogue atm?
Thanks for posting that. Having read it i wonder how long it will take for the wind of change to blow through the club. In my opinion PC creates a lot of his own problems. Problems that could and should be avoided, in many cases the stable door is closed long after the horse has bolted. If a lot of the content explained now had been presented earlier, it would have gone a long way to avoiding a lot of the bad feelings that is being launched towards the club and its management team at this moment in time. Whilst i appreciate them taking time out to answer our fears, i cant but help think, that certain lines of reply are there to appease, given the fact two out of three are lawyers then the request for questions to be submited allowed them to orchestrate their answers, to the extent that outside forces and examples of other moduals reflect the blame away from themselves and the poor judgements on their parts on how the club has and was being run. Unfortunately anyone posting or daring to speak out against PC seems to get shot down in flames. In many cases patrick never fails to say i will go... But.... Then makes a case for him staying, which to me suggests that hes saying one thing but actually meaning the oposite. Mind games mind games mind games......the favorite ploy of business and politicians not forgetting lawyers too Say it often enough and most folk take it as gospel
