Was given Player of the Year and Players Player of the Year awards for Wigan tonight. The little fcuker. Let's hope he's ont pop all week.
Good on him. He was a grafter. Wrong time, wrong manager. He has found his feet at wigan, I hope they keep faith with him in the championship, quality league one players don't often make the grade a league above, as we all know! Perkins, well done Lad. Now **** off and have a **** day on Sunday.
Good on him. He's a trier. But surely that tells our fans and players that Wigan are hardly ****ing Barcelona. I would have Conor, Scowen or Brownhill every day over Perkins. we need to go to Wigan and get at them. Hopefully they'll all still be half cut. My only beg of Hecky is that if we are losing/drawing don't be scared to freshen it up earlier than the 89th minute. Sometimes subs change the game.
Lad on Twitter says they were all on water and they're taking Sunday very seriously. The selfish gets.
Perkins was absolutely class in the Championship until his final few months at Oakwell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can't complain about the lad at all...gave his all for the cause , and I wish him well...apart from Sunday of course when I hope he has a mare.
He won our player of the year didn't he? His final half season for us was horrendous. But other than that, he was decent Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
god (and barnsley fans) love a trier. bang average player. always half a yard behind the ball and where he should have been imo. tried hard though so good on him, he seemed a decent fella and hes doing well at wigan.
I really liked Perkins when he played for us, but those highlights sum him right up - only one led to a goal.
Was a good player for us in the Championship until his last few months - doesn't really surprise me that he's doing well in League1.
I didn't see the league defeat at Oakwell so no idea how he played. But at their place in the JPT he was ferreting about without success. Hourihane and Pearson had fantastic games that day. Most of our lads did apart from the centre halves. Picked them off brilliantly on the counter. How we didn't win by a couple of goals in normal team I'll never know. Oh I will. The centre halves. I liked Perkins. A lot. For the vast majority of his time here he gave 100%, grafted non-stop, allowed others in midfield to play and was a proper nuisance for the opposition. Fantastic bit of business by Keith Hill at the time. But in his last few months for us he looked spent. Legs/heart had gone. In my opinion. No better example than at Leeds in Danny Wilson's first game back. He wasn't even trying to run back anymore, he looked shot. And he never offered much else than graft and running, keeping things ticking over. So when that went, what else was there? Danny's replacements were all worse, mind. And his decision to ignore Paddy and Bobby upset me.
