    Not having a contract on the table, ready for signing, terms all agreed, at 9am on Monday morning? The kid's been at the club every day for the last 5 months, there's been all the time in the world to sort it all out. This should have been the easiest piece of business the club has ever done.

    Unless the lad himself is stalling now, it seems a pretty sensible call to say the club looks to have got it wrong.

    He won't even acknowledge talk of a contract whilst training etc.
    His agent will have tokd him to zip it and refer all communication on the subject to him.
