Actually think Brentford would be a good choice for Sam if he does move on. But if they do bid we should be getting a good chunk of that £12m. It's like when Liverpool got £50m for Torres and splurged £35m on Andy Carroll. Winnall is a better player than Hogan. But given contract I'd accept 7.5m for him
Brentford aren't likely to go up and won't be getting relegated either so if they did want him after Hogan goes they would be better off saving on the transfer fee and trying to get him for next season cheaper.
If we're talking silly money, and we obviously are here, good luck to Brentford getting £12 million for Hogan. However, if West Ham are stupid enough to pay that then tell them to make the cheque out to Barnsley Football Club instead - save on the paperwork. But there would be one condition with that. West Ham have to then let us have Ashley Fletcher for less than they paid Man Utd. Seems a good deal to me
