Why when one of our players gets sent off we clap them off the field " gave us no chance of getting back into the game after a stupid and reckless challenge but lets clap him off the field "
21 year olds kid debut for the club and he was eager to impress. Encouragement is better than nothing or abuse.
I'm sorry, there was no way I'd clap him off after that. Totally brainless. I was not going to shout abuse but clap? No ta. As the OP said, he virtyually ensured teh game was all but done, not that our awful defending and negative setup hadn't already seen to that.
not saying boo or abuse but to clap a player that's just been sent off ???? 21 years old with over 100 games in the championship - should no better appalling challenege
Bad tackle and Hecky will discipline him as he see's fit. Marley Watkins wants to play for another club. Would have left in a shot if Hecky let him. You haven't mentioned anything about people singing his name?
Bit different. As long as he keeps giving his all, which he needs to to secure a move, he will be supported.
Mowatt was giving his all. Hammill was clapped off against Wednesday and Roberts was against Birmingham. It's just showing support. I will also argue saying you want to leave the club is much worse than getting sent off.
In the wider context, perhaps, but in the context of a single game, as long as said player is giving everything, no it is not. Mowett was ****ing brainless. No need to make that challenge and he's now made Hecky's job even harder for the next three games.
Hammill was wrongly sent off against Wednesday as he got the ball Hecky was wrongly sent off against Wednesday as he had half of Sheffield in his technical area Roberts was wrongly sent off as it was double jeapordy Scowen was wrongly sent off as the first foul went unpunished(like last night) and he then won the ball. I clapped all of the above for their endeavours at the time. I didn't clap mowatt last night ,as although I shared his frustration with a glaringly bias ref, the tackle was a bit over the top
Don't boo him off but people clapping him off are barmy. His sending off cost us any chance of getting back in the match. It was a terrible challenge. It wasn't some rookie he's played over 100 games at first team level for a team with higher expectations than us. He's let everyone down. We have a knack for debutants being sent off.
