I think most of them are just as appalled at the actions of some Muslim states especially Saudi - but they arent coming here on a State visit
And as for those saying he was democratically elected(even though he had less votes than Clinton) its doesnt mean you cant express an opinion you disagree with his politics. The world is a much more dangerous place than it was a year ago and America under Trump is already doing things that are justified with blatant lies and propaganda.

A lot of Trumps Statements are demonstrably untrue and he is basing policy on this - its like an elected dictatorship.
I can see worrying parallels with 30's Germany - subsitute Muslims for Jews and you are almost there

Some hilarious ignorance in this thread. This isn't a protest against democracy. The people out there Saturday certainly won't be 'democracy hating c*^&s'

Let's remember, Hitler was democratically elected. Under a more democratic set of circumstances than Trump, in fact. Are you to tell me the Allies were all interfering with a perfectly good democratic state and should have kept their noses out?

Maybe Trump won't see folk taking to the streets in Barnsley but plenty will. News of these protests will be a hot topic in Westminster. That spineless cow May won't be able to appease that digusting man and the inhumane things he stands for much longer if she wants to be a credible Western leader.

WW2 was a protest against a democratically elected leader. Don't despair, there are still plenty of good people out there...

Blamed minority ethic groups for the nation's problems? Check

Introduced immediate physical, social and psychological tactics to demonise those minorities and mark them as abnormal? Check

Won a campaign on the strength of nationalist zeal and racial myth? Check

Closes down debate and conversation by diversionary tactics and refusing to allow media opponents a platform to question him? Check

Willing to ignore governmental procedure and international law to impose his ideas? Check

    Need I go on?

i think WW2 was a bit more than a protest against a democratically elected leader, ask the poles.

Your point was that it is daft to protest against a democratically elected leader. How about Mandela? Robert Mugabe?

I make no value judgement in regards to comparing the two. Only that you point about protesting a democratically elected leader is meaningless.

You could if you could be arsed draw some historical parallels between the demonisation of Jews and trumps positioning on Muslims.

Don't get me wrong, I can't say I'm a fan of trump or the majority of his ideals. Blokes a buffoon 95% of the time at best but the sheer level outrage especially given some of the ****ery from his predecessor which went by without a boo beggars belief.

Can't recall you looking for chums to protest against Obama bombing the sheer **** out of everything.

It seems that if you don't agree with anyone's politics that's centre or right of centre then you scream protest abuse and based on some of the scenes and reaction within the states delve into violent scenes with people getting their heads caved in for differing views.

People keep calling out trump for being facist however, if you are giving someone a kicking and are being urged to 'punch a nazi' by some slebs, do harm on someone because you don't agree with who they voted for, violent oppression of someone else's views? what does that make you? A facist?

I'm not comparing Trump to Hitler though there are parallels. I wouldn't even say he's a fascist, I dont think he's even got the metal capacity to formulate ideas of that sort of breadth.
I am saying he's a liar. a tax evader. A bully. A sexual opportunist. He denies the facts when it suits him. Makes them up when it suits him. I could go on. And on.
The question is. Are you happy that this man is leader of the most influential democracy in the world? And don't give me the "he was democratically elected" line. I know he was. I have no problem with that. What I'm asking is...are you happy that Donald Trump is President of the USA?

No, not then. I was putting Mario's befuddled despair in a historical context.

There are striking similarities between Trump and Hitler, as has been well discussed. Though Trump has none of Adolphs intelligence, charisma, nous and determination.
