I don't have any particular grievances as such. They know everybody's opinion regarding the club shop stocking issue and mine doesn't differ from anybody elses. I'm pretty sure you share the same opinion. The only difference is that you don't attach much importance to it due to our current league position whilst I do attach importance to it (not a criticism of you). My actual opinion that it is unacceptable and that it needs to be improved are most likely the same as yours.

You make fair and valid points to be honest mate. It was just a thought that there's been a few grievances on here (and not just you ST) and my thinking is that maybe if yourself and maybe one or two us such as nudge and Conan could get to chat to the powers that be. You all could put your arguments forward and also listen what the club as to say. Maybe there would be more understanding from both sides.

The league. Position. Has nothing to do with running. A sustainable business

I actually haven't got that many at the moment.
I think that we totally failed to back hecky in the window but that is something that they wouldn't/shouldn't really discus with me it's just an opinion.
I think that we as fans should all be told what happened with linton brown
I think that the clubshop shouldn't be selling out f shirts before the season kicks off but I have actually spoke to the shop manager regarding the stock in there
And lastly I think that we should be more proactive in trying to sell ALL our available advertising space but I spoke to PC himself about that.

My other complaints have all been addressed really. No TVs, they were sorted, dull stands, they're painting them and crazy scoreboard, well they sort of addressed it.

About all this talk about ordering shirts and such. Isn't the key word balance?

The club can't just go out and order 20,000 shirts so everyone who wants one can get one, because if only 6,000 get sold its cost them a fortune. Neither can they continue to do what has happened in the past few years and go short on numbers. I know I'd hate to be the one having to make the decision on numbers. Dammed if you do and dammed if you dont.

Also, with all these calls to "just order some more". What if the minimum order quantity is, i dont know 3,000 units? But the club only think we will sell 1,000 units? Should we still make the order? What I am saying is none of us know the terms the club have with the suppliers...

The way forward(and im sure the powers that be know this) is to get it as close to right in the initial order, which will only become possible when the clubs fanbase settles down(after the initial influx of additional fans after last years success, and the drop in the clubs fan base in previous years).

Wasn't the problem with the manufacturers? I'm sure my mate had spoken to the shop and they'd said that they wouldn't be making any more batches of our shirt.

Can't remember the full details though.

Yes, I remember something along those lines. That may have been with Just Sport though when they provided us with off the peg Nike kits...

Yeah that sounds familiar, he couldn't understand why such a massive company couldn't whip up some more badges and supply the shirts.

Id love to know where we rank with the other teams that our suppliers supply with Puma stuff with regards to shirt sales....

They are obviously going to put more effort into the bigger sellers with regards to manufacturing numbers.

How else do you suggest we overturn a £1m loss?

The images I've seen the new facility encapsulate the current one

You make some excellent points though I'd say our fanbase without any new initiatives will stick around the 10,000 to 12,000 it's been for years . My mate a big Barnsley fan works on the commercial side at Leicester tells me they can order shirts and have them delivered within 28 days and not massive orders but anything from 250 upwards.

The best way would be to try and fill more of the empty seats in the Ponty and East stands for every game.

No idea how to do that mind, as I'm not a marketing man, but surely that would be a more stable revenue stream than giving 3 or 4 visiting teams another few hundred seats and having to pay the increased costs associated with this.
