What a season it's been on the road.

20 league away wins in 2 seasons, plus all the other cup and playoffs too!!!!

Probably seen more away wins in that time than previous 10 seasons

Win on Thursday and I think it's a record for us at this level.

Drawn too many at Oakwell otherwise we'd be a fair few points better off. Looking at Wigan, Ipswich, Wednesday, Birmingham and Cardiff games in particular. Could have won them all really. There's 10 points there.

That's why I don't buy into the gloom from some on here recently. If you've been to the games during this run without a win, you'd know we've deserved more. I notice they've not posted much tonight, as an aside....

The thing is, we have been there before, playing well and getting no rewards and it gets you nowhere. That's why there's been gloom as eventually the good performances dry up.

The difference now is though is the quality of Hecky. I've every faith he will do all he can to bring the players in we need for next season.

It's a factor. He's a great coach and tactician. He has that extra passion for what he does too, being one of us. That's something that runs through the club now.

Part of me hopes for early recruitment as I think gelling and understanding Hecky's tactics etc is crucial. But part of me wants to go on holiday myself and relax..

Hoping for early recruitment too given number we need. A lot of uncertainty though

After what we were led to believe last season (that the Champship is harder than ever these days), its fantastic that we've won 9 away games and could still get into double figures!
Ok maybe the hard work is still ahead of us and will we be able to do it again next season ? Well that is for another time of course... lets just hope we can enjoy some more wins in these remaining games.

I hope the club can build on where it is at now and look to maintain a play off challenge. At the least I hope the club are away from trouble.

I know that that is very difficult both given size of recruitment task and the repeat of Jan; and in saying that it's not a pop at what happened.

There's also clearly some uncertainty over the future given the awful news Patrick has had and I hope that the club can come through this uncertain period.

On a personal note I'd hope for a miracle for him too.

    Patrick is a fighter.

But I know he'll appreciate your kind words, mate.

I hope for the same again Fidel, that we can at least stay away from any trouble even if it does mean another mid table or just below mid table finish.
No we're not going to win promotion of course but flirting with the play off places again for a while is possible. I'll take that as long as it means we dont have a relegation scrap.
