Apparently playing down any move away from Barnsley. Quoted as saying
" I'm just concentrating on leading Barnsley out at Oakwell and wearing the armband with pride.
You see these things and have to try and take them with a pinch of salt.
You try to ignore it when you're linked with away. It happens a lot at this Club. It's a testament to the coaching staff that there are rumours about so many of our players."

    Well said big fella.

He turned down Birmingham to sign for us, and rejected a move to them the Christmas after.

Great captain is Marc. It's not all money for him. Will enjoy watching him whilever he is here. Fully expect him to step up to the premiership. Hope he accepts an improved contract this summer, with an agreement to allow him to move to the premiership for a set fee. Love seeing Stones, Holgate and Mawson pissing the premierleague. Makes you even more proud of our club. If I was a young lad wanting to get to the top of my profession then I'd see Barnsley as a great club to help me achieve that.

I really hope he elects to stay with us. He and Big Angus are both on their way to being thought of in the same breath as the likes of Taggert and De Zeeuw(in my opinion).

Young Marc's come on in leaps and bounds since we signed him from Halifax. He's the perfect example of not immediately judging a player and writing him off simply based on the club we signed him from & the level he was playing at.

Spot on. I think the lad has his head screwed on. Hopefully will sign a new contract, but we'll see on that. I agree if a reasonable release clause, with sell on / performance linked add ons incorporated was written in he might sign. Alfie has done well since leaving. Sammy the Snake & Bree are probably moving back / trading water, but on better money. He should be setting his sights on the top flight, the likes of Stoke, WBA, etc, who are established prem clubs. They will want to see a couple of years of excellence in this division to get the cheque book out. Brum Sh!tty are relegation fodder in our league.

When you look at Mark Roberts, it just shows what quality can be found in the non leagues, and total credit has to goto everybody who has coached him up to the level hes at now.
Ohh and extra credit as well to the man himself, he still makes it sound like this club means a lot to him. Touch wood eh!

He said as much at the POTY awards dinner. He gave out very positive vibes and I remarked to my lad "I hope he means all that and he's not just towing the party line".

As long as he goes to Paul Schofield not Harringtons for his Penistone meat products that's all that matters :D

Talk is cheap... if Robbo as not signed a new deal/extension by Aug he'll be away. McDonald as signed a new deal, so Roberts as captain, surly as one on the table. If the club as learnt owt at all, it must be not to allow players to run down contracts.. All you'll get next Jan is a repeat of this year... our best lads being cherry picked.

If Robbo plays to standard and proves his fitness at the start of next season, he'll be gone at the end of the transfer widow... nailed on

Also add Yiadom to the above... just the same. They need to sign

His family are from Penistone at some point in the fairly recent past. I work with his cousin and that side of the family all live in that area.

If he can't be tied down to a new deal he should be sold this summer.

Rumours circulating that Aston Villa could be preparing a £5 million bid for our skipper.

Talk us through how you post these links TT. I use a 4th generation Apple iPad and every time I try to post one it
doesn't work. I note down the address of the website I want to post then come on our site, click the square icon with the arrow
at the top. I then get a Red box titled URL. When I type the web page in there nowt happens. Can you advise what am I doing wrong or better how do you do it please.?

I use the same device as you. I just use copy and paste, I copy the link from wherever then I just past it into the text area. I assume you know how to paste by holding your finger where you want to paste until the paste option appears. Let me know if your still having trouble I will try and be more precise. :)

Just to add I use forum runner app on my iPad.

Appreciate if you could please. I'm not brilliant with lap tops, iPads and such.
Please explain which site I have to go on first and what I have to do to copy it onto our site please.
