    Cowards.

I saw a post on Instagram a few months ago. Football is nothing without hooligans it said.

Pathetic waste of oxygen, anyone who partakes or glorifies it.

We all love banter, we all get a bit worked up at time and it is more "exciting" when the atmosphere is a bit tense, but anyone with a shred of decency can never understand what drives people to engage in this type of behaviour. The pack mentality argument doesn't wash with me. Like you say - pathetic.

They've effectively ended a guys life. Their punishment should reflect that in my opinion.

    Awful.

I was set on at Hillsborough a few year ago near the north stand and the leppings lane entrance. Some little teen wacked me in the back of the head for no reason and then a big bald idiot punched me in the side of my face.

They won 1 nil inn the last minute, why on earth would you feel the need to do that especially when you've just won!

Funny enough the little teenage kid was getting battered by a few Barnsley fans at the Hillsborough park tram stop. Karmas a bitch n all that.

I've amended your post as that's the only question that needs to be asked.

Anybody who feels the need to harm another human being, especially over something as simple as a game of football, needs their heads tested.

I stopped an Ajax fan getting his head kicked in, in Stockholm, by some idiot Man Utd fan. I can't stand Ajax as a football club, but it was a guy off to watch his club in a final, and his fault was being in the same train carriage as a moron.

I completely agree CT. There is a massive difference between banter / match tension and this completely unacceptable and abhorrent behaviour.

Every one of them should have been given much longer sentences. What they've been given is so lenient it's bordering on the offensive.

Fully agree, but 5 Years is max sentence for this offence. I was wondering why they weren't charged with something else given the premeditated approach. To me its attempted murder. Interestingly offences get more leniency if the perpetrators have acted within a gang. Something wrong in this country when this kind act has such leniency. Its good to see the whole gang get sentenced though.

******** mate, that's what they do... sucker punch and then run off, it's pathetic.

I got arrested when we got off the tram at Meadowhall and spent the night in Rotherham prison, what for? I have no idea... I never threw a punch or anything. I can only assume the marks on my face made the police i was involved in what happened at the Hillsborough park tram stop.

I was let out the day after with no charges or anything. On the bright side they fetched me some frosties at 8am and they tasted immense. I've sworn never to go to Hillsborough again after that. Not because I was attacked but because of how dire and corrupt South Yorkshire police are.

I was the same mate, coppers stood there and just watched, my jaw was hanging off my face and my mate literally had to beg one of the coppers to ring an ambulance for me, which he eventually, reluctantly did. Right set of ********. They never caught the hard man that did it either.
