    Better not mention that game.

Luke Steele had a worldy, a number of unbelievable saves including two penalties, bobby Hassell came into the side in midfield - and apparently as well as being excellent on the day, he then selflessly and completely unannounced gave all of his win bonus away.

Two of a certain West Yorkshire fan's all time favourite reds there...

Do they get the chronicle in Hemsworth? ...

Anyway, more fittingly, that team contained mcnumpty, rob Edwards, scott wiseman, Matt done and David Perkins.

    And it won.

We haven't got it that bad...

We could do with a bobby Hassell though I reckon

What I am trying to point out is that people on here have lambasted the club for paying low wages but a win bonus of £600 in 2011 !
Has there been anything similar in the last two seasons ?
And no I don't begrudge sir bobby that .
He played centre midfield at Elland Road in D Wilsons first game back and was outstanding but then dw decided to build a powder puff midfield without him .
And look where we ended up .

£600 is not particularly high for a win bonus though.

I know many people in the computing field (Game Developers, mainly) that take home bonuses in excess of £80,000 a year. This on top of 6 figure wages

Are you saying that £600 is a lot? A team is unlikely to win more than 50% of matches (or if they do they're probably going to make it the playoffs/automatic so it's been a success) so it's not going to be paid out all that often. Also, the chances of a player having played in every one of those winning matches is small so no player is going to make that much from it.

£600 win bonus is peanuts. The wages banded around i.e £3,000 per week etc are basic and don't include sizeable bonuses for winning games, scoring goals, clean sheets plus whatever else is included in the player's contract.

That's a MAXIMUM* of 2800 per point for the entire squad. Hardly breaking the bank

*assuming we used all three subs. It could actually be as little as £2200.

I think the vast majority of people on here will lose when they compare their wage to a footballer's. They're just not in the same league as 'normal' jobs.

The win bonus is just one of many.

They get an appearance fee, they get a goal scoring fee/ Assist fee or and a clean sheet fee. They will have targets in cup and league and will likely get money bonus for that.

This will be seen as me giving Robert Hassell stick or you don't like him but lording him for giving to charity's strange because most footballers do. Those nasty horrible England players have raised almost 5 million pounds over a period and been to 250 appearances (http://englandfootballersfoundation.com/). Think they announce the money every 2,4 or 5 years.

Arsenal does a charity day and they raised 250kish last November/ December

And the win bonus is always a reason to refute why some players are not trying or don't want to win
a game. We won 15 games last season. For the sake of arguement let's say our win bonus is a grand, that's not bad on top of the weekly sum they must receive.!

That's true Hemsy. Man Utd's Juan Mata has pledged 1% of his wages to Charity and is now asking
all Premiership players to do that as well.

Yes. Juan Mata's talks are very interesting on his outlook at the sport. Hector Bellerin raised18kish for the tower victims. too.
