Great away day that was. Won 3-1 with ten men after being 1-0 down early on.

Wasn't Howard Kendall sacked by Notts County after that 1-3 loss to us, the second time that season that they had sacked a manager after playing us actually. (Mick Walker was the other!)

Ohh and yes that was a sh*t away kit that 1994-95 season!!

I found that kit in the wardrobe at my mum's last year. It still fit me ok, apart from in the stomach area where it seemed to have shrunk quite drastically. I blame the poor quality Pelada material :)

He wore both with his time with us, but his main partnership with Liddell, he wore 9, Liddell 10.

Definitely wore both, my first shirt with a name on back was Payton 10 and in the new season he was wearing 9! Gutted!

As others have said he also wore 10. I definitely remember him in the number 10 shirt. I'd say your bet is a draw.

Sadly no. Perhaps he'd moved on to hiding in her shed. Or the chest freezer. I suppose I best check, just in case.

I think he did. Brendan O'Connel equalised for us, then Shez (I think) was sent off. Wilson then put us ahead with a cracker, cue delirium in the away end. Then I think they had somebody sent off, possibly Paul Devlin. We scored another, I think Andy Liddell. Superb day out. Then on returning home, my girlfriend called to say her mum had gone away for the weekend and her house was empty. I was 16, and I don't think I could have been any happier if we'd announced a swap deal of Andy Rammell for Roberto Baggio.
