It's all over BBC News and YouTube - clearly some Blunt fans thinking they need to register their appearance back in the Championship.

They're knuckle dragging morons who spoil things for decent fans. There is no place in football for them.

Seen a couple of videos. Terrible stuff. Families and kids stood in shock, bit like the coppers actually.

I hope they don't kick off against us.
Some of them might remember that we sent them down - and the celebrations that we had after the match.

Last time I went to Bramhall Lane, I remember one of our fans being knifed. Never been since.

Yes when I was at senior school.
And 3/4 years after leaving school.
When pi.ss ups and hooliganism was at its height.
Some well known Barnsley fans were in our little group back then.
A few family and friends still watch them.
I know exactly what they think of Barnsley.

It's never gone away. If you think it has you're deaf dumb and blind.

    Arrr - they were great.
I say 'a little group' - but there was about 15 or more of us when we all turned up.
A reight set of young bas.tards.
    We would do anything.
    Foooking wild animals let loose.
But saying that - everyone at that time was the same.
All fans around here - Man U, Sheff Wed, Leeds were all doing the same.

Some people don't realise that at one time what you see in the Boro - Sheffield United video was the norm - every match was like that.
Probably less so at Barnsley back then - because they were stuck in mid table in the old 4th division for decades.

I've been twice since the 1 nil win under Wilson and the nil nil draw under hecky and its been abit naughty on way out and back to train station both times. Some of our lot just as bad mind you and looking for it. I won't be going this year 32 quid for a ***** view on lower tier no thanks.

I would say 'our lot' are much worse than what they are now.
Hence kick off times being changed.
You only have to look around at away matches to realise this.

They were far from great. I remember football in the 70s and 80s and hooliganism was a cancer that contributed to the death of some innocent people and means that normal fans are treated with suspicion every where they go.

Went to both of those games on the train as well and never saw any bother.

Suppose it's down to luck and timing, although I'm 52 now, so hardly the type to attract any trouble.

Thing is - I've found that it's often those aged in their late 40s and 50s that start the trouble - those that remember what it was like in the 1970s and 1980s.
I sort of never leaves them.

Well - when I say great - I mean it was great for young lads of that age.
No way would I have taken a young or older relative to any of the matches back then.
