Bill Conti, Going The Distance from a Rocky film. Played numerous times last season I believe, or the season before. Sent shivers down my spine it was that good belting out at Oakwell.

Whatever is played, it needs to be loud. No point otherwise.

If it's quiet it doesn't enrapture our supporters, nor does it intimidate theirs. There needs to be a marked volume increase when the "walk-out" music begins.

Spot on GZ. First thing that needs to be done is fix the PA system in the Ponty end otherwise it's totally pointless having any walk on music at all.

I have been trying to find out what that music is for ages. Every year end of August the hilltop town next to our village hosts the Vino Cotto Sagra (festival) which lasts for 3 days . It is free, with various stages and performance spaces scattered around the medieval streets and small piazzas and they have various bands performances and food stalls. On the Sunday night at midnight to close the Sagra they have a spectacular pyrotechnic/AV display using the PA from the main stage in the main Piazza with the fireworks fired from the flat roof of the main row of shops. Two or three yeras ago they used part of this music for one of the sequences and the fireworks synchronised perfectly. It made the hairs stand up n the back of your neck.

Still like Timerider though as a) it reminds me of the premiership season b) it is recognisable as OURS and c) it is nowhere near as naff as West Ham's 'signature' tune or Everton's Z cars (both even older than Timerider)

Pretentious dross. (I love classical music having learned to play classical piano from the age of 7) but 4:33 is worthy of a Monty Python sketch.

Like a lot of modern Art...no skill required just a fancy name and a pretentious description and explanation of why it was 'created ' Saw a load of old paper creased and torn hanging from wires in an 'installation' at Yorkshire Sculpture Park a few years ago which looked like something that a Nursery teacher had done with a group of 4-5 year olds. Apparently 'worth'? a fortune. Couldn't get my breath. Myself and my wife were laughing and the looks we got from the 'cognoscenti' were withering. Talk about the Emperor's clothes!!!

Be good to keep fanfare for the common man as an intro though.
After all that's what BFC represents imo.(although it should be renamed Fanfare for the common person )

It's kind of a drum & bass impression of Baba O'Riley by the Who. Really uplifting, energising music.
I'm only a professional DJ, nobody listens to us... LOL
As long as we are playing good football people will clap to any old sh!te.

Yeah, that's why we brought it back. I love that intro to fanfare. And we can't sack Timerider as much I would personally like to. Too many love it. We still might have a little tune just as they enter the pitch but with the PA system issues, that can wait.

Something folk can sing along to instead of or as well as just clapping would, IMO, be the key to striking the right chord as the players enter the field.

Feel free to suggest stuff, mate. Seriously, we went through loads of different ideas but couldn't settle on one. Ideally about a minute long really because obviously by the time they line up, Jason starts reading out the teams.
