So you call the man who gave us our best ever years a "greengrocer" then talk about respect in the same post. Unreal.

Bloody southern spell checkers. What I need is a Barnsley based spell checker. On second thoughts, that one doesn't acknowledge the word "thanks".

I have to confess it's not a word I'd have tried using in my childhood days in Kendray!

Just for balance, wasn't the cost of building of 2 of the stands substantially funded by a fund that was setup for that purpose by the Govt, Fa and or football league?

    I would say part.

    I wouldn't say substantial.

We funded the majority by player sales and proceeds rather than handouts.

This the league that wouldn't give us time to build. So we had east stand and top of West stand. So they certainly didn't give us substantial funding as far as I recall

I think it turned out more like 30.

Could be wrong. I know it's in JD's book. And it's slipped my mind. But I remember being surprised thinking it was 50.

I'm going to have to go look now lol

Ok thanks. Point I'm making is Patrick has had no help or offers of help to finance any ground improvements and his tenure has largely been of a club that has not been self sufficient until recently.

About 30 percent mostly funded by player sales and investment like the floodlights etc.

There are still funding streams available though not to the extent they were then obviously.

It's a genius response. I don't like the service at Tesco. Then buy Tesco you idiot or shut up. My favourite idiotic response tbf.
