I dont think that means the club has been sold for £1. What it means is that the club shares have been divided so that there is more than one share. This makes it possible to sell the club to more than one person of course so for example it would be possible for Patrick to keep a 20% stake

Was just about to post this. An indicator that something is defiantly happening.

Yup - that's exactly what it is. That has to be the strongest indication yet that something is round the corner.

Yep. Nominal value of a share means nothing.

Opposite way round - its been converted from a single share to 1000 shares so it is now possible

I'd say something is going to be announced pretty soon as that paves the way to sell off a percentage of the club and retain a small stake. Exciting/worrying times.

Both for me to be honest. Like anything in life best not to make judgements until you see how things unfold. I would agree that change is inevitable and needed given the owners health issues.

Cheers for that makes more sense now, I was reading it thinking I don't understand it sure looks like it's paved the way for pc to retain a stake

Also noted it was done at end of last month, not sure if that has any baring on anything mind

With any potential owner there is always a risk but as you say change is inevitable and I think (hope) this takeover will be an important stage in the club's development.

Super exciting times ahead in my opinion if this does go through, the investment will make us more competitive but I would hope the club would remain operating in more or less the same way in regards to signings etc. I would just like a few things to change slightly to the way the model would work.

    1. Most importantly, would like us to be able to offer more competitive salaries to players so that we dont lose as many players on free transfers etc to league rivals!

    2. Be able to target higher valued young players from the lower league that would appear on the spreadsheet but would currently cost us too much e.g. Maddison, Ollie Watkins etc.

    3. Be able to sign some Championship experienced players to come in alongside the young players we have. People like Gardner (permanently).

    4. Be able to attract higher value loan players and also keep these loan players permanently if they are successful instead of losing them to other clubs like what has happened in the past with people like Trippier, Brownhill, Morsy etc.
