marooned in borrowdale rainfall between midnight and 9 am 137 mm and it's still raining hard. Road out flooded wife just going out for a walk but I am staying in the lounge. Honesty bar with Black Sheep on draught. Holiday had been pretty good till then

I'm in the Lakes and got out for nice walk today. Tarn Hows, Elterwater, Grasmere. Soaked to the skin!! Wouldn't have taken much more to cut off Ambleside which is pretty unusual.

We are in Windermere, and although lots of rain seem to have avoided any serious issues.

Was walking in borrowdale Tuesday, you can see that they'll get the rough end of any poor weather.

    Great walking weather today though.

certainly made my day at work interesting, it affected the railway all the way from scotland to london, hopefully weather is a lot better today up that way
