Misses the next 2 games for what he said to the ref at Millwall. Does anyone actually know what he's done wrong yet?

He got banned for switching to 442 in the Villa match. I think.

Always seems to be trouble whenever we play Millwall. And its always us that gets it from the FA.

If they reject the appeal then the ban is lengthened I believe.

I bet the FA took about two minutes to dismissively take this judgement.

I know somebody who's a practicing sports lawyer, and he once told me FA appeals like this, red card appeals, anything of that nature, are pointless. Easy £2,000 fixed fee for a 20 minute hearing just to be told that rules are rules. It's pointless mate. Only reason most bigger clubs appeal is pressure from stakeholders to seem like they're fighting for everything.

I'd rather Hecky just use his iPhone 7s wireless earphones to sneakily make a 90 minute call during the matches from the stands haha!

Not sure what people are on about. I was down at the Den and it was a 2 game ban easily. You can't be doing things like that and the club shouldn't be condoning it from any of it's employees either.

You do surprise me backing the FA when it's Hecky in the dock. You were the one defending the 'passion' shown be Jose when he was in trouble for very similar reasons.

Isn't that only when the appeal is deemed to be frivolous?

Hecky needs to wise up. It's no sin to be passionate, but there is only one winner in these situations. Hecky has a few entries on his record now and doesn't need any more. But he is still the best manager we've had.

I was wondering about that. Certainly it's the case for red card appeals. What actually defines "frivolous"? I'd be interested to know. It's a very subjective term.

Our appeal would probably be deemed frivolous regardless of definition. I'm really not sure how it works in situations like Hecky has been punished for.

"teams like Barnsley" daring to question the wisdom of the F. A. must surely be an act of serious frivolity.....

acting in an aggressive manner to the officials on the pitch. He was clearly unhappy but like I've said about this topic already. He should just be thinking about the things that can be controlled.

Should have taken FA heavyweight Biscuit Barry with him to the hearing..

Although on a positive note, he is going to get a wider view of how the team perform as a whole being sat up in the stand. Think as a first team coach, I would prefer to see the whole pitch from up in the stand and have comms down to the dug out. Similar to what they do in Rugby.. So it's not all bad providing he does communicate down to the bench.

Worked perfectly. We won 3-1. Hecky took one for the team. Brilliant piece of management.

Straight out of the Jose game book.

I think he does need to try and keep a lid on his frustrations with officials, and part of me thinks it's as much the supporter in him that spills over. And he's still learning management to be honest, and doing a damn good job.

Alex Ferguson had been managing for nearly 40 years when he was given a 5 match ban for publicly criticising Alan Wiley in 2011, having served a 4 match ban was it a couple of year earlier, for blasting Martin Atkinson. So experience not always helpful I guess.
