How much would you say we've spent since Hourihane and Winnall left on the following?
Mowatt, McGeehan, Potts, Lindsay, Mallon, Pinnock, Thiam, McCarthy, Fryers, Pearson.
If you're totting up to 20 million in incomings you'd better add in the money we spent on Moncur too. I'd say that lot is around 6 million plus.
Throw in running costs etc and, sure, there's some left.
    Thankfully!!
We're in a good position financially to attract the very few interested parties out there who you are so desperate to come in and buy us.

Don't be daft. It's a well known fact we've hardly spent anything and have £300 million buried under the centre circle.

Fake news, as some people are fond of saying these days.

My advice to anyone reading the Daily Mail check against your calendar to make sure they have got the date right

    http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...ns-the-future-s-bright-for-barnsley-1-8766619

According to this article in The Star "Barnsley made a £13m profit in the last financial year and the buyers see room for even more growth and improvement for the club."

Don't know where the figures have come from, as the accounts have not been submitted to Companies House yet!

Yorkshire Post reporting the same. Wonder if the issue is with Barnsley Council?

I thought Fiddlesborough had already done a due diligence when they were in talks and found they had "substantial funds" - I'm sure, assuming it was done by a reputable Accounting firm, it would be a simple matter to confirm it.

My guess is it's due to the land ownership. Tbf I can't see where the carrot is for any investor, without the land.

Id guess if it falls through the no safety net of the ground/land would be the reason

Not forgetting the £6.05m for just being in the Championship and the 48% increase in attendances. And so on.

I'll bet £13m the next set of accounts show a profit closer to £1.3m!

Maybe a big portion of the 20 mill is going to the council for their share of the ground rather than Cryne, or is that just for the footy side

    Fryers - free
    Isgrove - free
    McCarthy - £200k
    Lindsay £350k
    Mallan - £250k
    Pinnock - £400k
    McGeehan ?
    Potts?
    Thiam?

Last three must have been about £1.6m each then. At least.

So the potential £200m in TV rights is less of a carrot than land worth how much exactly?

If we've paid "well north" of £400k on a Conference defender (which we haven't) we deserve to go under.

So well more than £1.6m on two players? Are you saying we've broken our old transfer record twice?
