    ... to put everybody at ease I think we should all place a £20 bet on Peter Reid to be next Sunderland manager. I guarantee he'll be shorter odds than Hecky (if we all comply)

    Not sure on odds, but if he did get appointed at least with him being a Yorkshire lad, we'd be able to keep the "he's one of our own" chant going...
