    Thinking about it.
But I don't think the meeting will be constructive.
I've been to a few Q&A and it usually turns into a farce.
Not much of any substance seems to come from these meetings - just frustrating for those that would like a serious conversation - hence the suggestion that Patrick should write a book.
PC has a fairly good reputation now amongst the fans - and I believe it would further that reputation if he did write a book of his time in charge of BFC.

Why would and should PC write a book?

I am sure he has more important things to do at this moment in time.

Rick Holden wrote a book about his time at BFC.

100% right mate. I'd love to read a book that PC has wrote, but he shouldn't be writing books now. He needs to be spending as much time with his family as possible, and his family need to cherrish the last few months of his life.

I do find this a little insensitive by the OP.

A little? More than a little Jack!!

Nudge you do like a wind up you have to admit. I’m not sure that was the intent here though to be fair - and I’d be interested to read about all of the things mentioned by you and others.

However to suggest that Mr Cryne should write such a thing at this point in his life is at best very crass, bordering on the downright rude and insensitive.

If Mr Cryne feels well enough and wants to write a memoir, detailing his time at the club, then I would have interest in it. But there is no way on this planet i’d ever suggest or request that he do it given his circumstances. Have a bit of empathy.

Let me hazard a wild guess here. The reason he still controls it is because no suitable parties have come forward to buy it with the possible exception of the current consortium.

It is a big shame that PC never has had the opportunity to write a book, even his pre-BFC life would be very interesting.
I used to get swept along with the 'John Dennis is a useless ******' brigade, though I never actually knew why, it just seemed to be the majority's thinking.
But then I read his book and what an eye opener that was. He and his father lived and breathed this club and you couldn't help but feel sympathy and huge respect for the man afterwards. Was a great insight to what goes off behind the scenes and the reasoning behind big decisions that didn't always please the fans.
    I certainly recommend it.

I've another question for Patrick to add to the book load of other questions I'd like to ask him.
    ........ and it's this
.............. What the foooking hell is going on at the club that allows newspapers to report that Hecky is going to Sunderland - have you any idea how bad this makes the fans feel ??? !!!

WTF are you on about ??? !!!
He's got cancer and will die from it.
My relatives had cancer and died from it.
My father right now has cancer and may die from it.
It dosent stop people living while they are alive FFS.
Stop trying to be holier than thou - cos I've been there and got the T Shirt with regard to cancer.
And i would imagine that Patrick - if he's well enough will say the same.
If he's not well enough - then he wouldn't be going to matches or facing an audience.

According to a guy I know who works at Sunderland Council who knows an official at the Football Club
Sunderland AFC have not made a formal approach to speak to Paul Heckingbottom about their
managerial vacancy. ( That could change over the coming days of course, but as of today, no contact has
    been forthcoming.)

You're not the only one who's lost people to that horrible disease, I expect it has touched most families. I certainly didn't nag at them to do something selfish for me in their last few months. There's a difference between going to occasional matches of a team you love when you feel up for it and wasting precious time writing a bloody book.

Freedom of the Press and the rights of free speech that allow people to post stuff like this:-

Why the **** should PC spend his last few months doing anything other than what he wants and is able to do, rather than writing a chuffin' book for you!

Just told you I have a father - so that's wrong.
    But nar.
    Very much the opposite.
Probably one of the softest natured most loving blokes you would ever wish to meet.
But on the other hand - on the flip side - a very different person can appear - an example would be if you were listening to Radio Sheffield during the Hume/Morgan phone in
