Ok lads hope you don't mind me posting on your forum , I was just interested in your opinions of Lee Johnson and wot sort of job he's doing at city, got to be honest I couldn't stand the man when he first came to us but I've got to hold my hands up and admit he's doing a cracking job this season, also this is a bit of a long shot but I've been trying to find to Barnsley lads who I met at italia90 spent a few days on the piss with them in Rimini ,think 1 was called Steve can't remember the other lads name but both mad as ****, so if you post on here DM me, cheers all the best for the rest of the season

I doubt we'd have been promoted had he stayed with us in 15/16 so you did us a favour in that sense, but fair play he's obviously doing a terrific job with your lot this season. Interesting that that's come after a poor spell last season too, which makes me think maybe, just maybe he would have come good with us in the end. I'd like to think he wouldnt have though for obvious reasons:D

Do you think hecky would have you challenging if he was given the same amount of money Lee has, I like your gaffer comes across as a genuine decent bloke.

His pre and post match interviews were like cockney bullsh1t bingo and his tactics would have been ideal in La liga complete with a team packed with galacticos, but we were in league one, where his tiki taka tactics confused the very best of our players. He was loved by very few at oakwell and most of us were very grateful when he disappeared to the west country.

He's a lucky little man given that he's taken both our clubs on record breaking losing streaks.

He probably fits the type of job on offer there I.e significantly more cash to blow. Would Hecky do the same? Goodness knows pal, he doesn't play his most expensive signings.

Agree how he didn't get the boot last season is unreal, but I'm glad he didn't now, I never thought I'd ever say that.

Impossible to say for sure but on the evidence that he made us competitive last season on a shoestring, and is just about keeping us above water this year after having last year's team ripped apart, yes I think he would.

I think he's realised that the post match interviews where last season he was chatting **** and talking with all the buzz words was pissing people off he's rained it in abit this season.

I didn’t rate him at all as Barnsley manager.

He drove me mad with his slow negative football & inability to stop us getting picked off on the counter attack despite having some of the best players in the league.

I didn’t like him playing central midfielders on the wing or his bizarre decision to play Sam Winnall as a winger for several games.

But unlike many Barnsley fans I’ll give him credit for what he’s doing now. Although he’s spent a fair bit it’s still only a fraction of what some of the clubs in this division have & just like players do managers can improve as well & it looks like he has done.

I met him & he seemed a nice bloke & we got compensation for a manager I wanted rid of at the time so can’t say anything than good luck to him

Fair play to you mate. I wanted him gone but it just goes to show what a bit ( or a lot in his case) of patience can do.

Parked at Bedminster cricket ground last time we played you and walked in with a Bristol City fan. He couldn't stand Johnson either!

He's still not everyone's cup of tea but I've got to hold my hands up and admit he's doing a top job, got brownhill playing out of his skin.

In my opinion we'd definitely be challenging if Hecky was given the same support LJ is getting. He had to deal with his team being systematically dismantled, the loss of his assistant and no CEO last season.

Lj is certainly a lucky boy the chairman's given him everything you could ask for him to succeed he's got a backroom staff most prem teams would like in numbers , still think will finish no higher than 9th , but the club's prepared to spend big again in January so who knows.

    What age are you mate?

Around the time you mentioned our supporters club used to play you and gas heads at footy.

    Great times.

Con man. Dull football whilst here with frequent bizarre selections of players way out of position. Fond of blaming the supporters and telling us we don’t know what we’re talking about. Whilst we don’t, it’s not the smartest thing to do.

Very fond of speaking in cliches and good with PowerPoint and spreadsheets.

Had he been sacked for his record breaking run, as most chairmen would have done, he wouldn’t have got a job managing a pub team.

He’ll be happy now he’s got lots of cash to spend - but that doesn’t make him a good manager.

And he ought to be ashamed for the cynicism, thuggery and long ball tactics deployed by his team at the Well last year. But he won’t be.
