    Does anyone use this?

Just wondering if it's comparable to Spotify? i.e. Can you play music without internet connection, if you created and downloaded a playlist?

Just used it on holiday, downloaded tunes on WiFi in villa and then played em back on beach. I like it and it's got more tunes than Spotify. I have a family subscription which is £14.99 for 6 users

There are two levels to Amazon Prime music. There's Amazon Prime music, the free version given to all prime customers and Amazon Prime music Unlimited - the paid version used to rival Spotify.

I've enjoyed Prime and for £90 or whatever it is for the fast delivery, video streaming and limited music catalogue I was more than happy.

I bought an Alexa recently and they offer discounted Prime Unlimited for an additional £3.99 but it is locked to the Alex's speaker - so no access to the higher catalogue on phone etc.

Articles I read suggested that the Prime Unlimited library is marginally bigger than Spotify but I've never used Spotify so I'd have no idea.

This article suggest you can get APU for only 99p a month so I'd say that you'd be barmy not to if you were toying with the idea anyway.

Thanks for the replies. It's arisen because the Amazon Prime membership I didn't know I had is up for renewal. I'm ready to cancel, but it occurred to me my youngest might use it for music, in which case I might keep it.

Anyway, I'll see if I can work it out. as if it's user friendly I might keep it.

Because it costs money to produce music so if you don't pay you are effectively stealing from the artists.

Do the same morals count when people stream tv shows, movies or sports from illegal sites, because im not too sure a bleeding hearts campaign to stop people stealing from Rupert Murdoch would prove to be a hit

Amazon Music Unlimited which is the same as Spotify Premium has 10 million more tunes, Amazon Prime Music has 2 million

Go down the road of amazon dot.....Alexa is outstanding I've got iTunes on an old I phone and there's no comparison amazon way out performs. The device is probably the best invention ever made.....no need to google now just ask Alexa .....I find myself trying think of obscure bands and songs and I haven't been able to out fox her yet, sound quality great,it will even turn the heating and lighting on and off

Have you counted them? It's not the numbers, more the range of stuff - Amazon themselves sell their offering as "today's most popular artists". I can guarantee you that most of the stuff I listen to on the free version of Spotify isn't on Amazon Prime or Unlimited.

Amazon Prime is great if you like Little Mix or the classics. Not so good for newer more cutting edge stuff depends what your thing is.
