The implementation of UC Is the biggest attack on working and non working people in modern history. The UN has condemned the Govt for creating a humanitarian crisis for disabled people. They are different.

And don't forget that a percentage of pensioners still pay income tax whereas the mega corporations pay a minimal amount .
    Obviously only since 1974 .

Universal Credit, 6 weeks without money, indiscriminate stopping of money. Targetting the very people who can ill afford to lose or go without money.

Labour supported the simplification of the benefits system, now they're against it out of pure political expediency.

As I said, no better than Conservatives.

There is nothing wrong with the simplification of the benefit system. In theory it is a good idea. You have to see it as costing more not less money. The implementation of UC which targets rather than assists is the issue.

Corbyn is spreading lies about UC like he is with food banks, makes out like we're living in 1980s Ethiopia.

There's a handful of decent MPs in each party but most are liars, hypocrites and opportunists.

Be specific about lies and what JC said about food banks just a bland statement no evidence of what you are saying.

Thing with the 2 party politics we have. Firstly the Tories always said especially post 2007 that their policiy is one of cuts and austerity. Labour initially went along with the same. Now we have the Tories saying more austerity, Labour under Corbyn promising the impossible without sending the country into bankruptcy.... 2 parties, one too focused on austerity, the other on pie in the sky promises.. Until the Labour party reign in some of their promises and move more towards the centre ground, and I'm not talking a return to 'New Labour', just be more honest about what is achieveable in a shorter space of time, the Tories will continue to be elected.

Stop 100 companies avoiding that amount of tax & we could easily fund the lot & much more!!! This is the thing that Labour will go after not the unemployed or poorest in society.

Specifically what lies. As an ex benefits investigator I still have lots of mates working in benefits. They are telling me people are absolutely desperate threatening suicide. These are proper hardened investigations officers who have heard every sob story in the book but are collecting food banks this year.

I volunteer at a food bank. It used to be mostly people out of work now it’s mainly people in work. We have never known anything like it too busy not enough food. People are beyond desperate. Best not to pontificate about summat you know nowt about.

The Labour Party has moved to the centre ground away from the Thatcherism practiced by new labour to a broadly social Democratic Party with policies that are prevalent throughout Europe. People mistake Thatcherism for the centre.

Did you even read his post? He said there are more people who visit food banks now who are in work. Probably doing those menial jobs. Also, there truly isn't that many jobs, loads of 'menial jobs' have become zero hours jobs and/or are only offered to apprentices who they can pay around £3 an hour and who have to fit set criteria to be eligible.
