It was a great point. If only we had a BFC related forum to discuss it on.

Considering how Teresa May only managed to buy a majority by bribing the DUP I think it’s best for all concerned that the deal that’s agreed is scrutinised by Parliament rather than us getting stitched up again.

It's called first impression, plus what Jimmy heard solidifies it, saying that Barnsley must have the lowest immigration in the area, 4% or something compared to 11% on average. These feelings towards foreigners are long standing & deep rooted in my opinion.

You'll find yourself in the majority mate when it comes to voting rather than spouting.

    Glad you're on board Pompey.

it's a shame that any of these MPs are seeking to frustrate the will of the people.

There again Blobby you are wrong about the Labour Party they HAVE accepted the democratic vote, they don't want David Davis and Teressa May to make the final decision without the backing of Parliment that's what the vote in Parliment was about the other day.
You may be right on the 68%.

She's accepted the vote though and cracked on with it best she could . Bearing in mind it's uncharted waters so no one knows what we we are really entering into .

It’s not. It’s a shame those complaining they wanted to return powers to our own parliament are complaining when our own parliament wants to decide.

They haven't accepted the vote because the 68% voted to leave the single market , but the Labour party want to stay in it . Its a contradiction in terms my old friend you can't have it both ways . Hypocrisy is a marvellous thing cos you are always right .

Amusing that people voted to return sovereignty to our parliament but are unhappy when that parliament exercises sovereignty. It’s ‘almost’ like they were lying about their motives isn’t it?

If the final deal was that we remain in the SM and CU we accept all 4 freedoms and continue to allow the ECJ to have final say whilst having no say over anything would that fulfil the ‘will of the people’ or would they want their MPs to be able to change that?

From the 2017 study of migration.

Indicators of diversity The diversity of Barnsley’s population is suggested by several longer-term indicators: • The non-British population of Barnsley comprises 5% of the community, just below the average 6% for the Yorkshire and Humber region. • 5% of the population was born outside the UK, compared to 9% average for Yorkshire and Humber, and have settled particularly in Central and Kingstone wards. • Just over 1250 pupils at school in Barnsley have a first language that is not English. This is equivalent to 5% of primary pupils and 4% of secondary pupils; both figures are small increases on the previous year, but remain much lower than the Yorkshire and Humber averages of 17% and 13% respectively. • 6 in every 1000 new GP registrations in Barnsley are made by people who previously lived abroad, compared with an average of 10 per 1000 across Yorkshire and Humber. • The fertility rate in Barnsley remains on par with the Yorkshire and Humber average, which is below the ‘replacement level’. Births to mothers who were themselves born outside the UK is amongst the lowest in the region, at 9% of all new births in 2015. This compares to an average 20% for the region.
