Seems loads of these UK and Irish archives are being released early .. those that haven't gone missing ..
clickbait. Nothing in there says that MI5 plotted to murder anyone. What it does say is that a terrorist organisation who HAD murdered countless innocent people simply sent a letter claiming that somebody had asked them to do it. It has no more credibility than if somebody from cystISIS sent a tweet out now saying that Theresa may had phoned him saying she ordered the Manchester arena bomb.
Maybe this story is but if you don’t think that MI5 and MI6 don’t carry out kill orders directly from the PM of the time you are sadly misguided.
I know mate. I actually know someone who works in close protection for the met. He protects the royals and Teresa May. There’s a lot of dark things that happen apparently that he obviously doesn’t go into specific details about, which involve our secret services.
What like terrorists and russian spies? Didn't think that was much of a secret. The response was to this post only. So no i've nothing to be 'sadly misguided' about.
"Signed in block capitals “Capt W Johnston”, the name used by the UVF in all its formal statements, it closed with the line: “We have no love for you but we are not going to carry out work for the Dirty Tricks Department of the British.”" hmm - really? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Finucane
Not privy to the info you know about .. but it's well known of the British/ loyalist collusion in political murders ..the link to pat finucane by wakeyred being one. Surprised by the fact that the Irish govt has released this info now..
Yes i'm absolutely certain that british intelligence agencies colluded with the UVF, UVA etcetera, why wouldn't they have? But this nonsense letter would be no more than a bit of political skull-duggery (probably sent from a republican) aimed at causing further friction between the irish republic and the british government. Can't understand why you would want to bring things like this up. We need to celebrate the peace. Why are you intent on re-visiting history and stirring a pot that has long simmered to a point where the people are co-existing better than ever before.
Oh, I don't know, maybe some of us think that branches of our government deciding, without trial, to murder British citizens is a bit problematic.
Absolutely. But this post is not really about this though is it? So many people who were affected by the troubles want to know the truth. People want to know where there loved one's are buried. But no let's concentrate on a letter that's probably as kosher as the yorkshire ripper tape.
I think the point is that he's 'we' may do things like that and may have in the past and may in the future but a letter with no name on it sent from a terrorist organisation who DID murder people isn't exactly proof is it. Terrorists try to create terror, try to destabilise and try to cause friction. It's what they do. Why anybody would believe without question what such an organisation says is beyond me.
