Excellent performance today. 3 clean sheets out of a 4. Maybe the professional knockers will get off his back for a bit.

Early on in season we couldn't keep a clean sheet now we have 3 out of 4. Not just Down to Davies but the whole defence aswell.

    He’s a very good goalkeeper.

But he’s had a rough run of form. And had we a credible alternative, he’d have been given a rest.

Hopefully he’s come through his rough patch.

He didn’t exactly cover himself in glory on Saturday for Reading’s goal - though he was otherwise solid, and as you say three recent clean sheets. Over five games though, not four. He conceded two at Fulham and one on Saturday home to Reading.

He’s still very young for a goalkeeper.

With the added pressure of captaining this very young team.

    Well done Adam Davies!

I'm a big fan of Adam Davies. All goalkeepers dip in form, especially after over two years of consecutive appearances. A lack of goals for us has highlighted the mistakes made at the back, but the defence is looking stronger and stronger and Davies will be an integral part of our team for the foreseeable I hope. Still young for a goalkeeper, still learning.

It struck me how young he looked when he had a photo with my son at Kings Cross after the Fulham game. All of them look like kids to be fair, but him and Lindsay surprised me how young they looked. Probably due to their height.

Izzy has a baby face too - and with his diminutive stature looked like an u14s player!

Think the point was that is 3 swallows in the last 4 games. Linda Lovelace levels of swallows needed for some

Would you be willing to spend c2m on a new keeper cos thats what it'll cost to get one better than Davies .

Other than kicking the ball out of play once he made no errors. Had nothing else to do others than 2 easy saves.

Hopefully the clean sheets will keep coming and he won’t cost us anymore points through errors.

Sorry to be a pedant having already said - but it’s 3 in 5 not 4.

I’d get a new keeper in, not necessarily to replace him, but to compete with. Townsend obviously isn’t rated high enough by the coaches.

Pleased for the lad who's had some stick recently. However, this stat also shows how well the defence has played, especially our new goal machine who is beginning to look like a real find. I really don't think we need to change anything in the defence in the transfer window. It's midfield and up front that need sorting out, then we'll be OK.

Agree. An experienced head in central midfield. Another winger with pedigree, and at least one striker who can attack a ball crossed in (Fletcher. Please.)

Adam is a competent keeper but he's no Heinz Muller. We need to look for a keeper who dominates the area. Look in the German leagues. Heinz was the best we've had in ages.
Pinnock - take bow lad. 2 in 2, he'll soon be top scorer.

Said before he is very young for a keeper. Has potential. Shame we didn't have another viable option as he could have done with a few games out to protect him. Also really don't think he should be capatain. He is very quiet and this is one area with loads of room for improvement.

Agree totally about the captaincy, that role has to go to someone that the others really look up to and drives the team whatever the score.
