Hammill may not be playing at the top of his game at the moment but he shows an abundance of commitment, he shows a respect and passion for our club and town that no other player does, what he's done for us over the last few seasons should never be forgotten and while not on top form he's still pretty good so I think if anyone slags him off then they are a bit of a short sighted ****.

Like Heckingbottom said he did little. Distribution wasn't great today again. Very unlucky to see the yellow when he did.

So people can’t get carried away over today’s win and no one should be praising Fryers yet you state Davies was ‘EXCELLENT’ despite him having nothing to do of note all game and state we only need a back up keeper?

What was excellent about Davies today that warrants such praise where Fryers deserves none?

Davies has been in dreadful form and whilst I’m delighted he kept a clean sheet today he had nothing to do where Fryers had a much greater challenge infront of him and coped well.

You’re certainly one getting carried away by what you claim was an ‘excellent’ performance from Davies.

For me just a question of using players like Moncur to the best effect. He's one of the most talented players in the squad. They always seem to get more stick than others - i hope he stays. As for Hammill - love the guy - skillful and putting a lot into his game, but final ball not quite working for him at the moment. Football is like that - you can't be sublime all the time.

If Moncur put half the graft in that Hammill does he’d be an asset.

3 out of 5 clean sheets. His recent record with a more settled defence speaks for itself.his record over the last 18 months as a championship level keeper speaks for itself. More saves than any keeper in the division last season I believe. Will undoubtedly if he continues to be picked reach 50 clean sheets in the quickest amount of time for any Barnsley keeper. While I know everyone wants to spend other people’s money to get better you would need to spend a significant amount. We need a better back up keeper someone from the spreadsheet young hungry and genuinely able to challenge push Davies. Given a finite budget this is far easier to achieve. Townsend is too poor for that.

Fryers is generally a poor player. Today he did ok. A 5/6 instead of his usual 4/5.

What was excellent about Davies today that doesn’t warrant the same praise for Fryers?

Fryers was part of 2/3 of the clean sheets you keep referring to and also directly assisted today’s match winning goal.

Davies was in no mans land in the final second today and was saved by McCarthy who we can all thank for making the only match winning save required.

Not been nasty to you or Adam Duntpasstome but what I read is sentiment. Past won't get you anything on Saturday. In any sports there are good players that will hang on but when your times up the Head Coach needs to be strong and say because unless you are Gary Nevile the player won't say i'm not good enough. Then even that he got away from the sentimental Manchester United Fans before telling Sir Alex after WBA away that he was done.

Now I'm using Neville to explain a point.

I have said it before, but Moncur is a player that offers very little unless he has an abundance of space and endless time to be creative. I have no doubt he has talent, but he has shown very little of this in a Barnsley shirt and is non effective on the majority of occasions. I for one would not be upset to see him go in this transfer window.

You’re trolling Fryers and giving no performance based evidence on why Fryers deserves no praise today whilst Davies was ‘EXCELLENT’.

    You’re being massively hypocritical.

I don’t troll any player, I make what I deem to be fair and valid points and discuss and debate them on this forum.

That yellow was a joke in terms of what refs usually give for time wasting however it should be what they always do.

How about using the truth for once? Hecky the only manager to take us on a 10 game winless run is he? The entire BBS knows you are a liar and too much of a coward to admit or explain it. You have lost all credibility and are now proven to be a troll

Age. Some players can play until 40 without much affect some players will lose the powers. I think Hammill relied on some physical advantages. If he doesn't adapt then he's finished at this level. This is my opinion.

For Supertyke. I messaged you yesterday that I wouldn't reply to you again. So i'm breaking that but if I offended you or anyone else with a lie as it turned about which I didn't at the time then I apologise.

Sentiment, Hemsworth. I'll tell you what it signifies. That Adam Hammill, even if he never plays another good game for the club, is a legend at Barnsley FC and I don't use that word lightly. He has written his name large in the history of this club and also shown an affection for it that will never be forgotten by the vast majority of us.
He may not be the player at this level he once was but his enthusiasm and commitment to the club make a refreshing counterpoint to your endless childish vendetta against players and staff of a club you claim to support.
Love of your club entails an appreciation and pride in what we are and what we've done. You show absolutely none of that. Ever.

Moncur has all the qualities you mention, but like quite a few other players doesn't bring them in his kit bag to every game. If he did he would be a regular starter.

On the days he doesn't do it then he becomes a luxury player that were not collectively strong enough to carry.

Hedges is a similar player when fit. Impresses off the bench, but not so much as a starter.

Inconsistency is part the reason for so much swapping and changing and why we're where we are.

Yet another dig at the manager.

You can't criticise him today because we won, but a sly suggestion that he picks players out of pure sentiment.

    You really are something else.
