I know I keep mentioning this guy, but 8 goals in 18 now. Goal and an assist again yesterday at Charlton.

Just the type of player to suit our plan and the "something different" we need up top.

Paddy Maddens been linked with Fleetwood. If that comes off I'd make a cheeky bid for Devante Cole before Sheff.Utd does.

Paddy madden maybe, Devante I would probably give a miss. Don’t think he’s good enough for what we need. Maybe he has upped his game from when we had him last but would rather go for madden

All season long we have struggled up top because we have no variety and Madden would just be more of the same for me.

Paddy Madden would just be another Tom Bradshaw. Definitely need something different

When the ball is knocked long to him, does it stick? Can he hold it up and lay off when players get up in support? Does he attack crosses?
I've not seen any YouTube videos that tell me that, but that's what's we need.

Tbh I think mamadou will be a player that will be doing this. He is improving every game. More run of games will only keep improving him as a player, a player that will help us up top. A goal from open play I feel will also massively give him the confidence he needs and will start adding to the goal tally. Good player in mamadou I think.

I would not be against either Cole or Toney coming to the club permanently however the signals coming from Hecky is that he would prefer the more experienced finished article at this stage & who can blame him

Definitely need the finished article. It’s been a long time coming. I have said it before but surely we can only get better now. Can’t we?

Might bring a few in. Maybe an experienced one and a few for numbers and just to freshen things up if the price is right.

Having seen Eaves, and watched his progress over the last 12 months, allied with the way his own fans rate him on their forum, I'd hate to see someone else nick in and take him. Longer he goes on scoring the more attention he'll get.

We are in a relegation battle & thats what has to be addressed this january , whilst Eaves looks great with him you are still signing potential & potential can be addressed better in the summer when shaping the squad

He might be playing for one of our competitors by then.

Eaves, Kieffer Moore, Christian Doidge amongst others could all do a job, but all need further development to work at Championship level. I would certainly go for one of that type of lower division younger striker as a development project, but try for a proven goalscorer on loan for the rest of the season as well. David Nugent anyone on loan?

Fair enough , would you prefer an experienced striker or one to develop ?

If you read my other post I actually said we might go for both.
