Just watched highlights again and to me they had a good shout for a penalty in last minute when the ball it Mcarthy's arm on the goal line

Hard to say for sure but I don't think he moved his arm to stop it. It was hit at him from close range so he would have been unlucky to concede a penalty for that. With our referee record though it would have been no surprise, especially as we were already in the eighth minute of time added on.

It seemed like the ref couldn't believe that Sunderland weren't going to get something, whether they deserved it or not.

There’s some footage on twitter posted by a Sunderland fan behind goal and looks pretty clear to be his chest

It makes a change for a decision in the penalty area to go in our favour. I've watched it a few times and I can't tell if it hit his arm or chest but like I say I'm very surprised the ref didn't point to the spot.

I've just watched it in super slo-mo and it hits the green section of the arm. And he moves his arm down towards the ball too.
    Very lucky

I think the speed that the ball hit him helped us but still we deserved a bit of luck for a change.

Definitely makes a nice change. I can't remember what it looks like for us to get a penalty. Not had one at home for 14 months

We must be close to breaking some kind of record for a run of games without being awarded a penalty.
