Good shout just wages an issue as I can see Derby wanting the majority of his wages to be covered by the loan club especially a Championship club.

I wouldn’t mind Eaves at all.

Gillingham really been struggling to create chances this season. 8 goals in a poor league one team is a decent return.

Hey <, I have no problem with your suggestions at all, I personally think that all the teams around us in the league will be looking to strengthen & we cannot worry about who our competitors sign , we have no control over other teams business , we have to make sure that our manager is happy with our recruitment & hopefully it will be good enough to keep us up

You're overthinking this. I've just suggested we sign Tom Eaves and I'd sooner we signed him than see him go somewhere else and improve their team.

He's at the right age for "the plan" and we could probably afford to take a punt on him for now, or later. If it doesn't work, move him on with the others.

I certainly didn't say I would prefer him over an experienced striker, I'd like us to sign both.

What I'm saying is that Eaves is just the type of player that we don't currently have, or if we have one he's no where near the first team.
