i'm still fighting the darkside ( as opposed to ghost most Friday nights when pissed) talk to tats, windy, and guernsy red on a regular basis. I remember he whos name we never use ( not voldermort), capt bob, the admiral, ali-tyke, Longley, sheff, and my young paduwan isle of white tyke and sinking a few pints in the OP before the game. think I last saw jax at a bbser in wombwell, was it big n daft who was on radio 4 about the Barnsley whale ?. good heady days, we argued but never anything nasty or malicious and never WUM's who just anything that will cause an arguement

I think the social media age has proven cataclysmic for Windy.
Sadly i've bore witness to him bombarding certain individuals/sites/institutions on facebook. It's ceasless. This addiction/obsession must be having a major impact on his life. He has been publicly outed by quite a few as a consequence of his rabid trolling.
I would guess he's still on here but under a different guise.

I think one of windys biggest spats was with " bingley red" and the strange thing was me and bingley both went through school together both junior and senior in doncaster

I think I joined around that time too. I used to be "Optimistic Tyke" or something silly, before I changed to my current and even more imaginative name. :)

Are the posts from the old site still achieved anywhere?

Would make an interesting read if we had a "BBS Gold" section...

Jeez. You all made me think as to when I joined. Used to be on the old email based group, then joined Radders BBS in 1996 ?? And then the "new" BBS in 1997/1998. A long, long time ago,

Think I found it in about 1998/99, spent hours reading the bbs instead of working!

IOW Tyke once posted a mock up of a very old BBS page that was pure genius

The chatroom Christmas party we had one year is still by far, the best party, real or virtual, that I've ever been to. EI Audio spinning the tunes. I think it even ended in a virtual brawl in the virtual car-park outside the virtual Outpost. Still laughing now.....

I've been posting since 2005, made loads of friends since, most of whom have since denied they ever knew me.

Thing is, I had contact with him outside the BBS, and he seemed absolutely sound as a pound. I know that he has rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way though, to put it mildly!
