    I wouldn't say
Birmingham City, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United,
, Derby, Norwich, Wolves are 'bigger' than us we've been in the same division as all of them most of the past 30odd years..

Agreed. Watkins lived in Leeds, Hourihane out in the peak district, Winnall in Leeds, Thiam & Hammill in Woolley and that's just off the top of my head. Hardly any footballers live in the area these days.

Tbf though his only League experience before was 20 games for Port Vale...scoring 4 goals.

Option 2 with deviations for experience/value to the team seems fine to me. If we don’t sign quite a few players ready to play immediately over the next few weeks I’d say relegation is nailed on whether that’s loans like Morsy and James or back to the future signings like Scotland and O’Grady relegation will cost us 5 million plus. There is also a gamble in carrying on as we are.

They also loaned him out and he had half a season as a sub. They didn’t sign him and chuck him straight in the first team and expect him to succeed.

I'd say they're bigger than us because they have much higher fanbases and, therefore, cash available. I guess it's a perspective thing.

Is that another cryptic clue to say we ARE signing Fletcher?
    YES, get in.

    Re Gary Hooper -

    6 in 24 in 2016/17 and 13 in 36 in 2015/16.

They aren’t appalling stats in isolation but Radio Sheffield previously confirmed that both he and Fletcher were signed on nigh on £30,000 per week.

If that’s the case then you’d expect far more from a supposedly “proven” striker.

I was probley going to reply to you but thought **** it let's not. I probley should have stopped when someone tried to explain how stephen Fletcher and Gary Hooper were affordable championship players with experience.

You talk about jason Scotland and o Grady as much as I enjoyed the great escape season under flicker both these strikers were bottom 6 championship strikers. Scotland was a decent striker in his day but was past his best at the time he came to us.

We only have about 6 players good enough for the Championship all of them are probably bottom 6 level players as a short term fix that would be fine and an improvement in what we have other than Bradshaw.

True. The O'grady we had that season though would now instantly become our best striker.

Why do we go into meltdown , every time there is speculation , I can understand people reacting when something happens , but every bit of speculation or rumour seems to be met with frenzy , just chill & see what happens
