Can’t say who I’ve got this information from but I promise you all it’s the truth

Medical completed this afternoon so should be announced tomorrow

That confident with this source I am
Happy to become a Wednesday supporter if this doesn’t happen ;)

Good signing, if true. Our forward options would certainly have been strengthened this week.

I'd be absolutely delighted if it was true. Permanent or loan?

I’m not convinced by this, but I would be happy to admit I am wrong if it comes off. We will see

Would be a far sighted signing, if we get him for about £3 million.
We could have got him on loan to the end of the season & then seen him gone for nothing (as usual), for middlesbro to recover their £7 million fee for being in the shop window. That bloke is a footballer. Proper touch. I saw that at the away game a Bradford. I think under contract & training with us he'll be at minimum a top championship striker (price in excess of £3million) he might be better.

Barnsley Loyal if that's true I take my hat off to you and it would be the signing of this window.

I'm still not complaining about that, but for the reasons stated above by @John Peachy, I'd obviously prefer it to be permanent. If he does well, somebody is likely to offer him better wages than we can, or Boro will decide to keep him.

This whole forums gone mad, if we were signing a player with no history with us that had scored 1 league goal in 32 appearances in the last 2 years on LOAN, essentially either ensuring Boro get a return on investment or ruining our own season you'd be up in arms.

Ugbo's goals per game record at this level is over 2x better

We've seen him though. He was so far ahead of League 1 standard by the end of that season it was untrue. Aged 18. Needs a run of games which he just hasn't had. You never know, he might buy into what we're trying to do, and if Boro genuinely don't want him, I'm sure they'll be happy to cut their losses and take less than half of what they paid. Certain players just fit at certain clubs.

To be fair, he secured a big move to West Ham; was always going to be tough for him to get game time. He seemed well liked. He could have rotted in the Prem ressies, but got himself a move where again, the buying club already had striking options. He's hardly had the chance to become Mr consistent, I'm sure we can help him there. We know what he offers mate.

It's a big fat juicy yes from me.

Could be a loan with an option to buy, perhaps?

He's a classic example of a young promising player getting too much too soon. Not his fault by the way. There seems a mutual respect between hecky and fletcher and hopefully hecky can make him tick so it's a big yes from me .
