The sooner we are out of the corrupt bureaucratic institution the bettter. I voted out, not for the reason displayed on posters etc. I voted out because it was not the EEC people had approved, but an undemocratic instition run by an unelected president, and unelected commissioners. In addition due to it finances not being audited for umpteen years, we'd no idea where the money was going. There was also the matter of failed politicians (e.g. Neil Kinnock) getting a commissioners post, hiring his family and returning with a nice cache of £5 million plus, after his sejourn in Brussels.

The 'snowflakes' are of the opinion that it prevent them going to Ibiza and such places for a holiday, booze-up or whatever else they get up to. They fail to realise that before the EEC there was air travel to these places, and no visas were required. I travelled extensively through the 60s and 70s, and the only countries requiring visas in Europe were the Communist bloc.

Unless the party in power use their Henry VIIIth powers to amend the fixed term Parliament Act - you know, just because an election at a critical time would be inconvenient.

    Remoan, Remoan, Remoan...

Do we have a general election everytime the minority don't like the outcome? Nope, neither should we with the vote to leave. Should the reality change and the EU offer purely single market access like we originally signed up for in the 70's, then yes, lets vote on that. As for staying in the power hungry car crash the EU is becoming, we have voted to leave. End of.

But a bus said 350 million....Is that really the best and only reason remoan have? Well the truth of the matter is that it never once said on the bus we will spend ALL of this on the NHS..I challenge anyone to say otherwise.. It's the same lefty Corbyn followers who are moaning about this statement on the side of a bus who then fell for the same type of statement when Corbyn promised to wipe out student debt. Exactly the same thing, with exactly the same people taking the bait hook line and sinker. Maybe we should have another election because of Corbyns lies and watch his student support collapse, probably restoring the tories majority lol..

Ironic that Norway has huge numbers of migrants doing key work. Their doctors are largely foreigners because they don't have the skills themselves and doctors pick and choose the hours they work until they fill a quota of annual hours and have to stop employment til the next year, or just go home again. They also have issues with benefit claimants... because it is more fruitful to claim than actually work.

Meanwhile in the arctic areas, they are detached from Oslo in all ways, even transportation in winter, seldom see a vegetable and are beholden to the sami right down to their planning laws and where they can settle housing, often resorting to sizeable bribes to appease the local sami population.

I don't know what we'll end up being come the end of this. Other than a catastrophic mess that the next two generations end up paying and suffering for.

It's funny how one group have a derogatory downbeat name and the other has a bucaneering uplifting name.

I wonder what names there would have been if the result had swung slightly the other way and the Brexit group were moaning about the result.?

    The remainaneers? The brexmoaners?

Aye people should be careful what they wish for. Regulatory alignment suggests EFTA membership to me and the Norway solution which definitely won’t suit those who voted to get rid of immigration

I find the most ironic aspect is that we'll likely have greater influx of African, Asian and indian migrants as we tie into trade deals in a few years time that are linked with larger free movement and access to our educational institutions, a money spinner for colleges and universities, and as a study highlighted just yesterday, for the local area to landlords and shops.

I'm not sure how many of the leave voters will respond to the changing face of migration. They cant cope with tiny amounts of white people with a different accent, they'll be in for a shock when the colour changes.

I think that what's prompted Farage's comments is that there can be very little doubt it's all drifting towards a soft brexit with the compromises May and Davis make every time they speak with the EU. At least that will minimise the damage the original decision will inevitably cause.

They’ll want to enter a union of European states which has a control and cap on migration from outside of that area maybe?

To gain back control of migration from Africa and Asia by having a collective agreement and the migrants being spread amongst the various states?

If only that union was in existence.

    Oh, hang on....!

I think some have missed my point, in that what people voted for when they voted leave will in a very large proportion of cases not occur - in the case of immigration it will probably even increase as we relax rules to the rest of the world in return for trading arrangements.

course we have general elections when a party only rules with a minority we’ve just had one . Heath in the seventies and plenty more before.
Corbin never said he would wipe out student debt at all.
This is exactly why the referendum should be run again to help people like yourself gather the facts as it’s obvious with your post you don’t know any and maybe you may think different with the true facts although I truly think not

Sorta my point exactly... It's how people interpret what people say or write. I know quite a few people who interpreted from JC's remarks that he intended to wipe out their debts. Personally I don't think he did either, just like I didn't interpret the so called brexit bus 350 million text as saying we would defo invest that all into the NHS.. Red Kestrel jumped straight down my throat calling me arrogant, which I found a bit aggressive TBH. I'd hope people who know me would laugh at that label, I'm pretty much the opposite..or I hope so lol.. My point was about people believeing things because of how they interpret things differently.

Gather what facts exactly. Again interpretation, although you are suggesting you are right I am wrong.. I say you just have a different view on the EU than me, which is fine and I accept that.

His words were just before the election was 'I will deal with it'

Then conveniently failed to clarify what he meant by this as the media ran headlines saying he was going to write off student debt. Well, not until after the election.

    https://inews.co.uk/news/jeremy-corbyn-labour-will-write-off-graduate-debt/

Then again, he also said he was going to be PM by Christmas 2017. The week before Christmas, he changed this to in the next 12 months.

No not Debating your view at all , your beliefs are we should leave and mine are remain but it’s your unreasoning and manipulation of the situation . If misleading info from whichever side is now in the domain why shouldn’t people be allowed to change their minds before the dastardly deed in done .
If people still decide it’s the right thing so be it imo but if not we should halt it .
Seems the brexiteers don’t rust the ordinary folk as much as the remainers imo

The first two paragraphs of that Times article alone, even without context, show he didn't say it.
