As much as Im always excited to see a new player get straight into the team and straight at the opposition, especially when its a tall type of striker who we've been chasing for some time. I think we're being a bit harsh on Thiam there because he simply hasnt been given the chances that other players have undeservedly got.

    Jury out.
Younger and more chance to develop than Fryers I’d say.

Let's have a go - we played them off the park at Molineux despite the result:

    Davies
    Cavare Pinnock Lindsay Fryers
    Isgrove Mallan Gardner Thiam
    Moore Bradshaw

Thiam instead of Hamill, interesting & not inconceivable.

Not having enough players good enough often enough will take us down. Formations are irrelevant in this sense

It’s a tricky one we have been better with 4-5-1 but surely if we are going to play Moore we want to play someone alongside him, and Bradders is the obvious choice

I think we may start 4-5-1 and plan to switch second half. Also Moncur looks a lot better coming off the bench when he only has to play 30 minutes. Don’t know what Hecky will do but if I was to guess
    Davis
    Cavare Pinnock Lindsay Fryers
    Gardner
    Hammill Potts Mallan Isgrove
    Moore

And plan to bring on Bradders Thiam and Moncur for Mallan Potts and one of Hammill Issy as the game progresses. Though he may start Bradshaw and bring Moore on

I think McCarthy has been inconsistent. He's shown glimpses and to be fair to him, has been largely in and out of the team so can't really put together much consistency.

I just don't rate Fryers at all. He backs off far too much, his passing is poor and doesn't make up for it with his attributes going forwards in my opinion. His set pieces aren't great either, they're largely floated in, or when they're not, they hit the first man. His set piece taking (not his all round game because he isn't that bad) is very similar to a certain left full back we had last time we were in this division.

Well theres arguments on either side there Castro, and I think formations obviously do count. You play to your strengths dont you, and none of us really know what they are even after all this time.
