I know today was a very good team performance but one player who I haven't seen mentioned is A.H.For me he epitomises everything good about the BFC spirit. He may not have been the man of the match but his efforts should never be under estimated.Pushing us forward one minute then tracking back helping out his team mates.Top man and a very crucial player for us.

Runs his blood to water. Covers more ground in 10 minutes than Moncur does in 90.

Agreed, always puts a shift in, just a shame his final product wasn't there today.

I find Moncur more frustrating than any other of our players. He has without doubt ability but it doesn't shine through enough.

He wasn’t brilliant today. Ran himself into the ground.

Agreed. He's perhaps our most talented player quality-wise and sometimes shows this, but not often enough hence why he doesn't play all the time. If only he could be more consistent!

You'll never be consistent if you don't even try

He must show a lot in training to keep in the match day squad.....he seems to perform better after a run of games

    Reyt player.

Great ability and seemingly a great guy. There’s a reason teams double up on him.

I hope he’s here until he calls it a day and then moves into coaching with us to still be around the club. But footballs a weird game so who knows what will happen.

He's very important to us. Even when things don't come off for him he never gives less than 100%. The younger players couldn't look up to a better player.

There are many reasons why we are in this Division, but he is one of the main ones. Not just his quality as an individual player but the huge influence he has, and continues to, bring to the team.
From his first game v York he revitalised the entire team and he still provides the source of motivation now. A true ‘Red’ and a real legend.

I love how he seems to have realised that he can’t get by on ability like he did in league one & is fighting for every ball to keep his place in the team & get us as many points as possible.

I’ve defended him & our other wingers on here for most of the season as I believe they’ve put decent deliveries in the box but through Bradshaw been tiny & no one else joining him in the box we’ve not took advantage

Every time Hammil puts the shirt on , you get the feeling he wears it with pride , he play great one match & not so good the next, but he always gives is all & always every opposing team we play give him total respect & that is his highest compliment

This thread seems to contradict another regarding the lack of replacement for Davies as captain. I cannot attend matches living where I do but the one I did get to (Reading) a few weeks ago supported comments on here as to AH's contribution and effort. Surely he would make a good motivational captain for the younger players now he seems to have calmed down. Indeed the added responsibility may curb any remaining tendency to display the 'short fuse' he used to have.
    What do you guys think?

I don't think he should be made captain as he has enough responsibility as it is being the oldest and a role mole for the younger players. He is also education embassador. I think he fulfills the role of captain naturally without making it a formal duty of his. I also wouldn't think he'd be the best person to be the one to speak to the referee in volatile situations.
