Nice to see the scoreboard being used more effectively and professionally. Also the ponty end speakers were much better today.
The last few games they've had a getting as on it regularly and today they showed a video of Toby tyke making his way to the pitch
I blame the same autocorrect that usually gets you. Should have said they've had a betting ad on it the last few games
They were amazing! Some people seemed quite astonished and some remarks were made. The old ones were utterly useless though, so it wouldn't have taken much to improve.
They've upgraded it from windows 95 to NT apparently. I did comment today it looked a lot better. There are signs of improvement arround the ground to be fair.
It did seem an odd decision to replace it with the one they have. From an advertising perspective I do think it would make a big difference to have a very large screen in that corner. The club should also look at building an app to assist with match day interaction, man of the the match, offers on food / drink etc etc etc
That's a cracking idea with the app. Have you suggested it to them? @YTBFC would be my first port of call. You could even order a hat mask before the match, and get it delivered to your seat by half time.
I reckon a new video screen will be one of the first changes, it's too small and discreet to be used for any real commercial purposes.
Does anyone have any knowledge of what goes on at Baseball stadia in terms of "fan experience", both in and out of the ground? No idea, genuine query. Wondering if there's anything transferable to football?
I've never been to a baseball match, but I went to a soccer match in America once, and the slices of pizza on sale were simply enormous. There was also a commentator during the match who doubled up as an ad man. I reckon @AdamHinchcliff would be perfect for this role.
They have a celebrity throw the first pitch and at the 7th inning they have a rendition of take me out to the ball game. Other than that I don't think they do a great deal before or after the game.i think that's more of an American football thing where they have tailgate parties before games
