I must admit it is now looking like desperate times.

Since the Moore signing which made things look easy we’ve failed to get our first choice targets over the line.

Whilst Eastwood, Knasmullner and Mahoney are still in the balance I’m afraid we may either have to over pay to get the quality we originally planned for or aim lower.

Neither are great but if I’m honest, right now I’d rather see us over pay.

I know people may say how were Manzala, Knasmullner ect better quality? But in the clubs eyes they were so we have to believe that.

On top of those 3 we also still need a permanent winger (ideally), CDM, CB and a striker. That’s 7 signings when taking into account I think Williams has gone back (no concrete confirmation) and our most in form CB is out injured.

From now until the end of the window I won’t be updating on transfers. I’m ignoring it my self and will just wait for the official confirmation. Believe it or not it’s almost like a full time job trying to keep up with it all and then make sure it’s concrete enough to share on here. Outside working hours and lunch breaks I’ve been on my phone almost none stop trying to get the latest. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy it but with how things are failing and yesterday’s result its becoming a choir. I can’t imagine how it feels for people’s whos jobs depend on if (Hecky, GG ect)

Hopefully they’ll get the job done.

    Exciting/desperate time

We've won 1 in 15. Everything we do now is gonna have to be desperate.

    Fearing the same.

It’s going to take a strong head to keep aiming for that higher quality now with the increased chances of rejection.

I can see Mahoney coming in and that's it. I honestly think we'll be down by the time we play Derby last game of the season.

If you don't mind me asking can you explain how you having a source works? You admitted the other day that your source for transfer news was Patrick Cryne himself who told you personally who we were signing and asked you to post it on here however obviously now that cannot be the case so how are you getting transfer information now? Are you saying you have two completely unrelated cast iron sources for confidential club information?

Thread called exciting times. People click in it for a pick me up piece of news and instead get a depressing message that's not at all exciting.

    It’s not confidential.

If it was confidential there’d be clubs sacking employees all over the world as soon as newspaper get hold of transfer news.

Why don't they cut you out then and release all the information directly? Seems a daft way of doing it don't you think?

    It's desperate. Desperate and depressing.

I think I've got one more season ticket in me if things don't change.

Nothing comes direct. Back then I’d get bits yes, but not for ages. I basically work like any journo would. If journos can get it then anyone can get it. I’m just sad even to dedicate the time I guess.

Regarding Williams, his twitter profile has not mention of Barnsley and his profile picture is him in an Everton shirt.

Has it always been like or just recently changed back?

Please don’t take my tribute to my memories of Patrick completely out of context. You have twisted my words there.

I NEVER said Patrick told me who we were signing. He never did so why would I say he did?

I NEVER said Patrick asked me to post anything on the BBS. To use a quote of the man himself that is a ‘monstrous lie’. You’re twisting my words.

I have also NEVER posted any confidential information on the BBS. If it was confidential information then how would a person not employed by the club know it and be able to share it without people losing there jobs. Nothing posted on here is confidential.

I won’t be engaging with you again on here as I’m sickened you’d twist my words in such a way especially from a post taken from a thread that was meant as a place for sharing our memories of Patrick.

    It’s out of order.

For the last time. Other than snippets Patrick gave me well over a year ago all my information is secondary. I do my own research just like the journos do.

There is no one secret source leaking transfer targets to me. If you try hard enough everyone on here can do exactly what I do. If you can be bothered/have the time/are sad enough give it a go yourself you may be surprised at what you get to know.

Give over Chris. You have already pm'd me saying I was out of order and that I've been twisting your words. I've already replied saying that I didn't twist anything and was simply asking you a question. Why have you felt the need to repeat the same thing on here immediately afterwards?

You DID say that Patrick gave you information. You HAVE previously said that you get your information from a source at the training ground. You can deny it all you want but it's there in black and white.

Not sure why you care to be honest I simply asked a ******* question. Grow up man
