**** knows mate, I’m no accountant. I just didn’t think transfer fees would be offset against season ticket revenue, when operating costs are now in the black and we’ve got about £20m in the bank from recent transfers. Bottom line is we definitely have £500k to spend and if it’s a player Hecky wants, I think we should just be getting the deal done...hopefully that’s exactly what pans out
Been reading up on Knassmullner. On the face of it, he looks to be the real deal. Be interesting to watch his development. If he can adapt to the pace of the English game, the training, change of surroundings and fit in with how Hecky wants him to play, hopefully, we might just have a real gem on our hands.
In principle I agree mate. However, we are allowed to discuss terms with him now with a view to signing him on a pre-contract agreement, yet after discussions we may have decided to pursue our interest with immediate effect.
Fabian Zerche @FabianZerche 7m7 minutes ago Brief update: Just been told Barnsley increased the offer for Knasmüllner today. So tomorrow we should find out if Admira accepts the offer (or not). #inundaut
Perhaps I'm being too simplistic but I would have hoped we'd have upped the offer to a suitable level before now if we were desperate to get this one signed before the deadline. It seems awfully risky hoping for his club to accept quickly on the last day of the window (if true).
As Spider said, it's a poker game. Selling clubs are going to hold out as long as they can because they know they're likely to get more as the deadline approaches. We're doubly hampered because clubs know we urgently need to recruit and we have newly found rich backers. So it's not a case of getting what we deserve, it's a case of trying to find a balance where we get value for money rather than getting ripped off.
Yep they are going to reject the offer as they will more than likely think we will bid again. Again why we are leaving it to the last minute to haggle is beyond belief.
Probably since one of our regular poster's got home from work and did a bit of Wiki editing. I'll remind you again about Cole Kpekawa doubling up as a semi-pro plate spinner...
How many times has that happened? One to my knowledge and it seems to be accepted that it was Swansea's fault anyway.
With £20m in the bank, then against my better judgement and all common sense, I'd be happy if just this once we got ripped off a little bit. Cos if I find out on 1st Feb that he's gone to Wednesday for a pittance more than our final offer, I'll be seriously fed up. Championship status and £6m on the line. Time to unleash hell.
