Please not some other former player because he is one of our own. We are in a relegation battle and need a tough taskmaster to galvanise the players. Gary Megson???

Just thinking about money. Not many available for £2.50 and a pickled egg a week

    Agree apart from GM.
I would imagine the new owners will have their own idea outside our former players etc
They'll probably bring in one of THEIR own!

Owners loved the fact that Hecky was from the town, as per their press conference

    Martin Delaney fits the bill.

    I'm sure they did.
    PH is a lovely lad.
Unfortunately those attributes don't keep him in a job.
The results and form determine that and many managers would have been sacked long before now.
Whether we like it or not, the new owners will see us as no more than a business opportunity. Zero sentiment. They gave Hecky some slack and will be relieved if he takes the job at Leeds.
Their next appointment will be very interesting.

If we’re still following the plan , it will be one of coaches already at club .

They believed in him & backed him only a week ago.

    You’re imagining things

It should be the best man for the job but it isn’t a job for an old school manager who’s tactically up to it but doesn’t want to put the hours in coaching.

Whoever gets the job will have to work long hours coaching a very young squad.

For me it’s a young mans job. I’d be shocked if someone 60+ maybe even 50+ got it.

Did they back him or did the carry on regardless? It’s not backing the manager if said manager doesn’t identify or recruit the players. As for the contract, it’s not worth the paper it’s written on and had been on the table for three months.

We know he was backed because he’s stated several times that he wanted McBurnie, Moore & Mahoney. Compare that to when he talks about the attacking midfielders we signed. Massive difference in the way he spoke about them.

We don’t really know anything about the contract. It could’ve been on the table for months or it could’ve been changed several times.

Brought in 3 players in Moore, McBurnie & Mahoney who he’s wanted for a while.

Brought in experience at centre back.

    Signed a new contract.

If that’s not been backed I don’t know what is

Fair point/s but it was the January transfer window and we all knew we needed signings - other than go with what the current manager wanted, what else could they do?
You may well disagree but I don't think this has happened over the last couple of days, it's just been kept quiet until other matters have been taken care of.

They could’ve done what they did in the summer & brought in number 10’s he didn’t really want or French based lads like Thiam & Cavare who I doubt Hecky had seen much of.

I do think it’s happened quickly. According to Nixon on twitter he’s only changed his agent this morning as a reaction to Leeds making their interest known after sacking their manager last night.

I love a conspiracy theory but all the evidence suggests he was been backed last week & that it’s been a reaction to Leeds’ decision

Do we know if this new agent is the same one as Angus McDonald and Matt Mills

I'd still love big Mick or Neil Redfern both show to be capable in championship.
