Listened to the full interview and it's so disappointing, his lack of addressing any attachment he had to Barnsley supporters, or any message of thanks to those who called him "One of our own." He's closed the door on Barnsley FC now and we're history, is what comes across. Yes I know he's speaking on LUTV but some acknowledgement of what he owes us, giving him his first managerial opportunity, and what we meant to him would have been welcome.
By every other action and what he’s said I take it as “nothing nice to say then say nothing”. Absolutely baffling and petulant. As he alluded to after winnalls stupid celebration kids follow the club have some dignity, little did we know he was thinking “I’ll have some of that”
Will be interesting who new owners appoint. I reckon the "improved contract" was just the clause. We've gained imo
“I am coming here to be one particular part of a bigger set up and it excites me to be responsible for the team, players, performance staff and coaches, adding to what is already a clear infrastructure of how the club wants to be run, which really appeals to me.“ Interesting. Is he getting at his “Head Coach” role he had here?
It seems to me, the absence of any reference to BFC, the speed of his departure and his general demeanour is indicating a pretty angry bloke. I can only assume it has something to do with his contract. Sad and messy situation which has left a very bad taste for most of us fans. Move on now, the club is much bigger than all of its employees. A new era begins....
