Unless he’s from the Simon Davey school of mind tricks.... which means Fletcher will start on Saturday! Enjoyed them days - declaring main players badly injured as a bluff for the game.
They have had bad luck with injuries all season Hutchinson Fernando Hooper Fletcher all been long term injurys I think they are all still out but don't quote me. Also have 2 players suspended from been sent off last week.
Apparently one got his sending-off rescinded..... and immediately got injured. Listen to it. It is really quite funny, not least because of the manager's use of English. Their manager is talking about using U23s on Saturday.
Suggestions they have only 13 fit players for Saturday. The fans are ticking about the season ticket refund fiasco and a fans survey that they perceive will be used against them, their Manager could come straight from Fawlty Towers and there are also rumours several injuries have been made up to prevent increased payments that would tip them over FFP limits. Its fair to say they have problems! My advice to the team and coach would be to go for the jugular in the first 10 minutes. If we get a goal, I think they could fold and it could become a catalyst, not just to the confidence of the players, but a huge release of pent up grief, anger, frustration and disappointment from the fans in the stands.
I think we all know deep down that’s it’s a load of codswallop and each of their starting 11 will be on at least 12k a week. Then there’s our standard blatant penalty we won’t be given and Yiadom to have his shoulder yanked out again. This is a Wednesday win all day long.
They could play with 9 men and beat us. Had they lost 6/7 on the bounce when O'Grady scored the winner?
The prediction in the local press is they will go 5-3-2 as follows: GK Wildsmith. Fox, Thorniley, Venancia, Nielsen, Palmer Reach, Pelupessy, Wallace Joao and Nuhiu. They might have Rhodes on the bench alongside some players from the U23's side. We' ll see if that's legit come Saturday. I've a feeling they're playing mind games. Hopefully given this weeks events, our lads hopefully won't need much motivation. If Adam Hammill gets the nod, I just hope he can keep calm if they try their usual intimidation tactics and manages to keep his head. Be great if he could get the winner.
