We gave Hill too long. Ought to have fecked him off in the summer of 2012.

That would be a major obstacle when it comes to sorting out loans to & from other clubs (something 'the plan' relies on)

Again we don't know what intentions they have. I agree without some investment promotion to the premier league is highly unlikely. If we are building slowly the first step would be not to sell off our best players. Actually the first step would be to get some players worth selling!

Hope he stays with Lincoln. Why should we ruin their dreams? Grayson may look a bit dull, but it's hard to escape his record.

I may be proved wrong but the idea of Grayson leaves me cold. Will get my support if he`s appointed.

Why would it ruin their dreams? Its part of the football food chain I'm afraid. Leeds take our manager, we take Lincoln's and Lincoln take someone elses manager below them.

Cowley's not the man for me I'm afraid. It's difficult enough to come as a player from that level and adapt but for a coach who's never been involved at Championship level is an even more severe jump and a huge gamble. As well, has he ever experienced turning a struggling side around or has it always been cushy teams looking at promotion? Totally different kettle of fish.

We had the situation when Hill first came in that he underestimated the Championship. The fans had actually a better understanding of what was successful as we'd watched Championship football every week whilst Keef was busy managing his side in Leagues Two and One. We can't afford a repeat of that for me.

understand perfectly what you are saying but i think the first step is

Stop repeating the same mistakes that we has a club keep making year after year...

How many times have we been here in this position that we find ourselves in now....theres even talk from some of re building by dropping a league ...Jesus how many times are they going to ram that down our throats...its just an excuse for folk not investing..
The new owners need to realize that we the Barnsley supporters are sick of poor management of the club..Yes and that can be leveled at Patrick Cyrne to some extent ..( awaits the flack )
You only have to look around the ground at all the empty seats,.... unoccupied, most by people who have got disillusioned and have gone else where to seek enjoyment be that watching other teams or other sports ..its not long ago someone posted they would rather go shopping with the wife than watch the drivel we were playing at the time..all at the detriment of the club.

Yes the new owners have only been in charge a few weeks the CEO as had a turbulent time, overseen more comings and goings than most see in a 5 seasons let alone 1

    However
Now is not the time to repeat those same mistakes ...that happens at Oakwell time after time ..now is not the time for the club to tick over Now is the time to say you know what lets make a statement of commitment lets get someone in who can keep us up ..keep our championship status re build in the summer and set out a 2/3 year plan that the supporters will buy into and get on board with our ideas ...(proved before we will ) Cut out all this uncertainty that the power at the helm create
Be open with us tell us exactly what the ambition of the club is now, tell us point blank what ideas you have for taking us forward and what help you need to do so, not this be patient with us crap we hear all the time
That said the best bit of advice i can offer runs deeper than the above and i guess it means more than that much more than that

Listen to what we have to say...

we have been here all the way through this journey and others , We ( well i know Iam ) are sick of my home town club being treated the way it is let alone run like some second rate conference club.with ideas to match

I've no ideas of grandeur i dont walk with my heads in the clouds thinking we have an endless pit of money, i would however like to know where all the money from recent sales were spent and why its not being used or directed to having a push for promotion or why more importantly it wasn't used to strengthen the squad to the standard that was required to stay in this division...
Many of the questions we all would like to know will never be answered it will be answered. i expect with .Well Patrick's not here to answer that or defend himself .. but hey thats okay... Because we the new owners are by the sounds of it, are going to make the same mistake again that youve seen and experienced over the years

    then guess what

Yes we the Fans are going to be expected to jump on board and pay for it.

On that theory then paul hurst should walk the job in comparison to cowley. Would chien lee or conway put an inexperienced guy in charge of one of their multi million pound company's ? I doubt not.

It’s not a theory, I’m just saying that no appointment is guaranteed to bring success and there’s nothing to say that a relative unknown or a lower league manager wouldn’t as good or better than a big name. The club will presumably interview various candidates and appoint someone that they feel is best suited to the club and the task at hand. I doubt they’ll base it solely on which clubs someone has on their CV.

Think it’s time for a more experienced manager .Not necessary a old manager but someone with Lg1 and championship experience.
