Him not being able to just concentrate on his role as Barnsley head coach.

Just eluded to it in his pre match press conference.

He's just another money grabber. Nothing else matters to them.

He can't have it all his own way.... He's moaned about having to many similar players but it seems he just wants to coach and have no input of the managing side...

He will get that at Leeds in sure... Before he gets the sack for not being able to get a load of players he doesn't know anything about playing together.

What ever happened to a manager signing his own players and building his own team???

Sadly, it's now clear he's one of those people who can put any words into an order to make it suit his purpose without actually feeling guilt if its untrue. Remember 2 days before, he was happy, he'd been loving every minute of his two years (though he forgot to tell his face) and was looking forward to making everything better and constantly improving. All his own words.

In a new scenario, at a different club, everything changes to suit his needs and new position. I'm sure it won't take long for Leeds fans to fathom this, after any slight euphoria of taking a manager of a rival, you quickly would start to think..... if he can do that to the club he loves who've shown patience with him through a dreadful run, days after a transfer window where he said he got what he wanted, not long after the passing of the former owner, days after signing a new contract for more money, taking all his back room staff with him, the week of a huge Yorkshire derby and arguably our biggest game of the season so far.... and seemingly show no guilt, remorse or sadness at these actions.... jesus, what sort of person would do a thing like that?

It's the last time i'll mention him now, time to move on.... we've much more important things to focus on.

Think the thread should rather be titled 'What really PULLED Hecky away'.

That would be a Manager then and not a Head Coach. What interest should a Head Coach have in the bar prices and events bookings. None I hear you saying but I gather Hecky had during his tenure with us. Read into that what you will.

Dunno. He's mentioned it twice today. Also mentioned there wasn't a recruitment team and Oakwell whereas at Leeds, there is one.

He's very good at alluding to stuff. Let's see what shortcomings he alludes to if things hit a wall with his new players.

He'll have no excuses there to fall back on there. To them he's just another manager.

That’s not saying much for there recruitment team then. I would argue that we’ve recruited much more successfully than them in recent seasons.

If there were an iota of truth in this he would have done the whole thing in an infinitely more graceful and respectful to the fans. Anyone that believes this, I have a bridge to sell you.

if there was no recruitment team at oakwell he's done a worse job than I thought, bringing in some average players and assembling an unbalanced squad (in his own words)

But we all know there is a recruitment team at oakwell. The famous spreadsheet etc, data analysis - we've been operating that way since Wilson

    He's talking gargbage

Agree. Why not just keep quiet about his former club unless it's to speak positively. Any comparison between his current club and former, even if it's true is very disrespectful
