I think you know the Hourihane & Winnall shaped hole in your argument. Seen no evidence as yet his success wasn't based entirely off the back of a once a generation squad that clicked perfectly and a dog could manage.
As I said to you yesterday, I could easily move tomorrow to a job which pays me much more than my current one. But I don't, because some things are more important. Maybe you and Hecky have the same attitude. But that's not the case for all of us .
Why are they a bigger club than we are ? Bigger crowds paying silly money? Sounds like most of premier league to me
The buyout clause is 500k 12 month rolling I can’t say for sure but there is a really strong chance he was on 500k a year
That poor man! I see what people are talking about, he urgently needed to sacrifice his integrity to look after his family.
So could I have done during my working life. But I suspect the stakes in either of our cases were as nothing to those applying to Hecky in a very fickle and volatile profession.
With all due respect, I’d rather be bitter and twisted than lay there and take it AND then defend the indefensible. **** HIM. I hope he doesn’t win a game.
Yes. And furthermore those opinions are defending the indefensible and pointing the figure at the club.
Way some Barnsley fans talk you’d think Real Madrid had come in for him. He’s gone to a club that’s 10th in the same league as us and hasn’t been in the division higher for about 15 years. He’s **** on us and i hope he fails miserably the smug ******.
If I moved for eight times my salary I'd wager I'd still be on less than Hecky was at Barnsley. Seems to me that this actually makes his "stakes" rather less than my own.
I believe Leeds play in all white because in the 60's Don Revie wanted to emulate Real Madrid, interestingly enough!
Just when I thought you couldn't get more ridiculous you've said he moved from the club that offered him an improved contract after the fewest wins in a calendar year in its history to a club thats shagged its way through 7 managers in 4 years for job security
Much better if I moved, as it happens. But if I was earning the £350K that you were suggesting, job security wouldn't be an issue. Let's think about it. Two years of that, plus a year's payoff if I got sacked, plus probably £100K a year (at the absolute worst) for whatever job I could get afterwards. For managing the club I support and love. I'd do it for a hell of a lot less.
That's debatable and before you say I'm bitter I've slashed him off quite often since he started playing one up top last February and lost the plot
