Success won’t happen unless they spend money and we all know that’s the reality . Even the romantics amongst us realise that . It’s how football is , stand still and you go backwards .
You really think the club are going to employ someone for the next 3months and sack him if he doesn't keep us up?? Deluded
Not saying they will. Just saying that's what I would do. I don't think there's anything deluded about it. Just my opinion.
I watch a lot of Scottish football for my sins at work and he has got that team playing some really really exciting football. I'd be happy with him.
What bring in a bloke from st mirren pay his compo and then tell the guy keep us up or your sacked aw yeah we'll have them banging the door down for that deal
Come off it, is it ****. The Scottish Premier league is recognised as being poor at the moment. The League below is far below the Championship in terms of quality. Its got nothing to do with us thinking we are a massive club, its to do with us having some ambition to at least compete with the teams in and around us.
Must admit - I was very unimpressed when I read about Jack Ross, but having heard from two Scottish mates, separately, in the last hour that he's "the real deal" and a "quality manager" I'm getting a little excited. Massive task for whoever takes it as the rot had well and truly set in under the former manager ...
I'm already getting fed up of the "same old Barnsley" comments. As far as I recall the owners said they were going to grow the club commercially and gradually move the playing side along with it. That does NOT equate to "same old Barnsley". Do people honestly think they've bought us to bob along in the third tier? Give over. Do they think we've been bought so they can flog a bit of land and bugger off? They want to make money and, for good or ill, that's to be made in the Premier League. The fact that they're not going mental throwing money around doesn't mean things aren't going to change. It just means they're in line with what they said they were going to do. How about we judge them in a year's time rather than three months in?
And p.s just because Jack Ross comes from Scotland doesn't mean he can't manage footballers. In fact he seemed to do a pretty good job of rescuing St Mirren from nailed on relegation last season. Now they're top.
Whatever you say . A new ground , seasons in the top flight an FA cup final spending millions on players fans getting excited about the prospect of maybe another promotion ? Don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want any of that I mean we’re only Barnsley after all !
I meant they’re current campaign . They haven’t spent massively to get in the position they now find themselves in , tablewise
