Are there any other Champ clubs without a manager? Can't be arsed checking. *EDIT* I've checked; there aren't.
Always find these statements a tad odd - if the approach has been rejected and that's it then why go public? Not even seen that much speculation about Ainsworth.
I suspect its to send a positive ambitious message to the fans. Its very much a statement of intent. Or... it covers the clubs back side if the manager then pushes to force a move.
Yes the cynic in me suspects the latter. As a supporter I would be more unsettled by hearing an approach has been rejected than hearing nothing at all.
Ainsworth was one of my preferred choices, likes to play highly attacking football too so that would have been interesting to see how he’d have set us up.
Surprised the special human being hasn't been mentioned yet, seeing as though his League 2 compatriots are getting interviews on mass.
I am mocking him, but I am the one who said he would definitely, certainly manage in the Premier League! After we sacked him I was still intoxicated by the great escape and I defended the bugger to the hilt! Mike Pollitt and everything! Everybody on here mocked me, and I was adamant. You just wait! You set of know-nowt *******! You may all continue to wait for some time yet...
I dont know what it is but i like Ainsworth comes across well on TV.....before any thread i was thinking hed be good 4 us.
