A chance to be a manager of a "top football club", as opposed to being a backroom boy. Are ya having a laugh?
IF it is one of those three, then I'm seriously underwhelmed. In answering the question, I'd have to go for Ross. I'd have Harsley over the other two ...
Already said once to you. Inspiring the fans is not necessarily equal to good results. 10 games in to 'Mr Inspirational' and we've not won a game, then what? Where will the fans be then?
Id be OK with any of them - If I had to pick based on the limited amount I have read on them all I'd go with Ross but I think he is the most likely to turn us down Its always a gamble when you appoint a new manager but all 3 have the potential to do a good job for us Is Simpson still out of work - in which case he will bite our hands off if offered, the other 2 have to decide whether they are better off where they are
Question - for those complaining re Cameron Toshack...did you have the same complaint when we appointed Hecky? I'm struggling to see the difference aside from Hecky being a 'fan' which turned out to be nonsense. Genuine question - you wouldnt have appointed Hecky based on his CV would you?
Totally agree Tina. End of the day we'll get what we're given and all this angst is completely pointless. Our job is to get behind - and SUPPORT - whoever comes in, love him or loathe him. Everybody deserves a fair crack of the whip and I just cant fathom the mentality of writing people off before theyve even got the job.
Me neither. But you just know the self same people will go quiet if it works out, or will say all along they were behind them.
Agree totally - glad I'm not the consortium - but nice to be able to chat about it - to be honest I don't really care as the team is my team - have faith - exciting times
I'd ask who exactly the ones who disapprove would suggest we go for but I'd just get told that it's not their job to make those decisions. That leaves them clear to criticise anyone, as per, without risk.
Sadly you've just described me, lol. Billionaire owners tranna run a championship club on a shoestring, you really can't make it up! I was really hoping for more ambition to be shown to keep us up, especially with this next managers appointment. May as well leave PH2 in charge as at least he knows the set-up. Fickle fan that i am, and theres a fair few thousand of us out there believe me, i won't put myself out to go watch em until i see ambition beginning to materialise from these new owners, its almost laughable that they've bought the club to me really on current showing. This unproven manager hunt is the icing on the cake this season, lol.
The funny thing about this post is that it has been liked by someone who doesn't live in the country so doesn't go, and another one who stopped going because he didn't like Keith Hill.
If it was a choice between these three and nothing else, I would go for Ross. Those people who are still banging on about Mick McCarthy are just deluding themselves. I personally don't think he's the man for the job. Or we could wait until the end of the season and let Harsley caretake the team....are we looking overseas?
