So basically if you break the rules and it works to your advantage (you get promoted ) you get away with it .

    Stinks to high heaven .

They've broke the rules to gain promotion and probably earned about 300million off the back of it then got fined 3.1million . You could argue that the gamble paid off .

Then people say they want us to do things "the right way". No point. Find every advantage you can.

Surely the correct penalty for breach of FFP should be cancellation of promotion or, if the case isn't settled immediately due to endless appeals.....the insistence that any club such as Leicester should rejoin the football league at level four on their inevitable eventual relegation.

    In particular I liked
"The dispute arose out of genuine differences of interpretation of the rules between the parties."
ie Leicester interpreted them as not applying to them - to claim the extra 12Million doesnt count because they are promotion and acadamy costs is laughable

I see fecking Bournemouth got a mention as well. Only a £7 million fine, add it to our owners tab.

Stop fining them. It only helps the fA coffers. Dock them points or cancel their promotion.

Let's see if they still see it as a worthwhile gamble.

The reality is that the FA is simply a money making organisation . Docking a club points will earn them jack **** so a fruitless excercise .

There's not much anybody can do while these clubs are in the Premiership.

But if I were the Football League I'd put my foot down. If you break the rules to get promoted then while you stay up we can't touch you. But if a club who cheated last time get relegated then they should be refused admittance to the league system. Apply to the Conference if they'll have you - if they won't then you're going to have to start again with whoever will.

They should have done it to QPR when they came down.

It's not, but one things exactly the same.

Chucking money at football doesn't guarantee success for everyone.

Sunderland and Birmingham are two fine examples of clubs looking at taking a load of debt into league one.

I don't think I said owt about chucking money at football far from it but some clubs certainly have and benefited from it .
    Huddersfield
    Bournemouth
    Leicester
    Swansea
    Brighton

And I don't think I said owt about being happy to be in league one, but you keep alluding to it.

I'm sorry mate. I despise wigan, Bournemouth and Readings for what they've done.

When I welcomed the takeover, catious people said I wanted us to become one of the teams I hate, but I don't, and I would have double standards if I welcomed our new owners throwing money about like there's no tomorrow.

We have more potential than quite a few teams. Better fan base, bigger stadium etc, and I would welcome the new owners making an investment to get us started, but operating whilst in perpetual debt just because the others do it isn't for me.

You're taking my comments personally and you shouldn't, I wasn't alluding to you when I said some fans are happier in L1 . We're in a right pickle at the moment largely because of last January and crap recruitment in the summer . I'm not sure how many clubs actually make a profit so debt and loss go hand in hand with football clubs . I agree that we are bigger than a lot of clubs above us so we should be aiming higher than Millwall etc . Nightmare scenario is tho if we get relegated it could be years before we get back.
